    Hi TK,

Yes, The Events Calendar does indeed allow you to add both Tags and Categories to events to help organize them.

There are also buttons for visitors to add an event to the calendar of their choice. Here’s an example where you can see both an option for Google Calendar and iCal Export that works the same as the “Add to Calendar” feature you mentioned.

I hope this help with your pitvh tomorrow!

    Cheers!

Hi Marcin and thanks for following up!

Sorry if my last reply was unclear, but it does provide the process for event registration.

To clear any confusion, neither the Events Calendar PRO nor Filter Bar plugins you mention offer event registration as a feature.

That’s where both Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus come in. They add the ability to create a way for people to register for events on your site and to pay for the registration. Once you create a ticket for an event with these plugins installed, they are displayed on the event page, where a visitor can choose how many tickets they want to purchase. Once they choose, it takes them to the WooCommerce shopping cart, which allows them to check out and complete the transaction.

Once the order is complete, a ticket is emailed out to the registered attendee. The email contains a QR code that you can scan at the door of the event to check them in and that will get recorded in your attendee reports for the event.

Here is a complete guide that explains the process of taking event registrations and checking in attendees for the event in full detail:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/

Does this help clarify things a bit? Let me know if you have any other questions and I’d be happy to help as best I can!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

My pleasure! Happy that helps and I appreciate your following up to let me know. 🙂

As promised, I will certainly updated this thread if I come across a method for making the image upload a requirement field. In the meantime, definitely let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help.

Cheers and have a great day!

    Hi Jeanette,

Awesome! Glad you’re looking into our plugins for class registrations.

We do have a free plugin called Event Tickets. It allows you to add free tickets (like RSVPs) to any page or post on your site:

    Event Tickets and Registration

If you want to sell paid tickets for classes, then you might want to consider adding Event Tickets Plus as well. It extends Event Tickets so that you can create paid tickets on any page or post, make custom registration fields, and accept payments using WooCommerce.

Does that sound like what you’re looking for? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi Kathleen, welcome back to the forums!

I think the only way to limit sign-ups for events using Contact Form 7 as your sign-up method is to not display the form on the event until you want to start accepting submissions.

That said, we do have a free plugin called Event Tickets that allows you to take registration for events and it does allow you to specify the exact dates for when registration is available so that no sign-ups can be accepted until the date is reached.

    Cheers!

    Hi Robert,

You can move your license key by disconnecting it from your account here on our site and following the steps outlined here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/

Does this help do the trick? Please let me know. 🙂

    Hi @Boerderijopvang,

So sorry for the trouble here with the error message!

Did you paste your license key in the Event Aggregator field in Events > Settings > Licenses?

I only see one license in your account and it is for Events Calendar PRO. If you entered the license key in the Event Aggregator field, please remove it and enter it in the Events Calendar PRO license field instead.

    Thanks so much!

    Hey Larry,

I have not been able to find a way to make the image upload a required field. In fact, it seems to be the one item not covered in this guide and I was unable to see anything in our source code that would allow to happen.

That said, I have run this question by others on the team and, though nothing has come out of it, I’d be happy to update this thread if we land on something.

You can absolutely customize the Community Events form template to add instructional text above the image upload field. To do that:

    • Make a copy of the following file: /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/
    • Make a new folder in your theme called tribe-events
    • Make a new folder in that one called community
    • Make a new folder on that one called modules
    • Add your copied image.php file to that folder

Now that the template is in your theme, you can modify it to suit your needs. In this case, add your instructive text wherever you would like it to appear. A good place to start might be adding a paragraph right after this line:

    <h4 class="event-time"><?php printf( esc_html__( '%s Image', 'tribe-events-community' ), tribe_get_event_label_singular() ); ?></h4>
    <p>Your custom text!</p>

Will this help you get started? Please let me know?

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hi Jean,

Oh wow, that is super weird! I must say I haven’t seen a situation where both versions of the plugin are displayed together like that.

Yes, you may delete the copy of Version 4.1.3 from your list.

If you are able to, I would recommend making a backup of your site and database before deleting the plugin. I only put that out there because it’s good practice when making any plugin or theme changes in WordPress. 🙂

    Hello TK,

    Great questions!

The Events Calendar does not support file attachment uploads right out of the box. However, it’s certainly possible to make it happen by using Advanced Custom Fields to create a file attachment field for events, then add that field to the event template.

Color coding is also not support right out of the box, but that’s only because there’s already a great plugin that does that you can use for it:

    The Events Calendar: Category Colors

And, yes, the calendar absolutely does have tooltips when hovering over an event in Month View. You can actually see this in action by viewing our demo site: http://wpshindig.com/events/

    Cheers!

    Hi Marcin,

We actually offer a ticketing solution that integrates with both The Events Calendar and WooCommerce, so that might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Event Tickets is a free plugin that allows you to create free tickets for events. Once that is installed, you can add Event Tickets Plus to it and that will allow you to create paid tickets for events and take the payments directly in WooCommerce.

With both of those plugins installed, tickets can be created directly in the event editor and they will display on the event page when published, allowing visitors to add tickets to their WooCommerce cart for checkout.

Does this sound like what you’re looking for? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers,

Shoot, I’m afraid I do not have any other examples than the ones in that tutorial. The tutorial’s examples are a nice blueprint for how to change the order based on specific things (name and price) but doing a custom order is something that would take a more custom development.

Sorry for the bad news, but did you have any other questions about ticket options?

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Hi Deven,

CSV imports are actually included standard in The Events Calendar without the any other installed plugins. You can start uploading CSV files by heading to Events > Import.

That is also the screen that, when Event Aggregator is activated, will give you additional importing options. 🙂

    Cheers!
