How to restrict registration by date

We want to have the ability to list events on the calendar for 6-12 months out. However, we do not want folks to be able to register for an event that far out. Rather, we’d like to restrict the registration period of an event based upon a certain # of days prior to the event.

We currently use Contact-Form 7 for the sign-up/registration form.

Is this possible?

Hi Kathleen, welcome back to the forums!

I think the only way to limit sign-ups for events using Contact Form 7 as your sign-up method is to not display the form on the event until you want to start accepting submissions.

That said, we do have a free plugin called Event Tickets that allows you to take registration for events and it does allow you to specify the exact dates for when registration is available so that no sign-ups can be accepted until the date is reached.
