    Hi there, Jeani, thanks for getting in touch!

    Yeah, that can definitely be done with a little bit of customization. You’ll want to create a theme override for the month/single-day.php file. To do this, create a new folder in your theme directory called tribe-events and inside that another folder called month. Lastly, create a new file called single-day.php and drop the following code in there:

    http://pastebin.com/Paw23GHN

    This will remove all the event names from the calendar month grid view, but leave the “View All ## Events” link. Give that a shot and let me know how it works.

    Cheers!

    Hey there, Johanna! Welcome to the forums and thanks for getting in touch. We hope you’re enjoying the plugin so far. 🙂

    You can change the width of the calendar widget by placing the following in your theme’s CSS (style.css):

    .tribe-mini-calendar-wrapper {
    width: 100%; /* Adjust to the size the fits */
    }

    Give that a shot and let me know if it works for you.

    Cheers!

    Hi there, Marian! Sorry your running into this issue with the calendar showing up but let’s see if we can’t figure it out together. 🙂

    I’ve seen something like this crop up before and it usually has to do with a theme or plugin conflict.  Could you try temporarily activating the default Twenty Thirteen theme, to see if the issue happens there as well?

    If disabling the theme fixes it, that’s good news! It means we have narrowed the issue down to a theme conflict.

    If the issue is still there when using the default Twenty Thirteen theme, then we can try testing for conflicts with other installed plugins. Using the Twenty Thirteen, please try deactivating all of your plugins, except for the ones from Modern Tribe. Does that solve the problem? If so, reactivate the plugins one at a time until the issue pops back up, then tell me which one was causing the issue.

    These steps are also outlined here if you want some more details on how to test for conflicts.

    Give those steps a shot and let me know what you find.

    Cheers!

    Hi there Melinda, thanks for getting in touch!

    Great question. The PRO plugin does a lot of things, but booking appointments is not one of them. We can set the privacy settings for specific events on the calendar, and we have add ons to sell tickets for events (like this one), but nothing like what you’re describing.

    I don’t have a specific recommendation in mind, but here is a search of plugins that might get you what you’re looking for: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=appointment+calendar

    Sorry I don’t have any more information for you, but please let me know if this helps answer your question.

    Cheers!

    Thanks man, we appreciate you sticking with us! 🙂

    I’ll try to track down where we mention the ticket data stuff and see if it can be clearer so we set better expectations for what the plugin can and can’t do. We always want to be as clear as possible.

    Thanks for following along–I’m going to keep working with Wilfrid here to see if we can settle the original thread. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Awesome! I’m so glad the CSS update cleared it up.

    I’m not sure how the style was changed. The plugin uses its own stylesheets, so I’m assuming someone other than you (maybe an outside developer?) made the change since it was in the theme’s master stylesheet. I noticed there were several custom calendar styles in there under a section called “The Events Calendar.” If you’re seeing more issues like this, I’d start by removing or masking those styles to see if that clears things up.

    Yes, the color for past events is duller than the color for upcoming events. That’s intended behavior, but can certainly be overridden in the CSS. Also, for future reference, check out our Themer’s Guide which has a section on customizing styles.

    I definitely want to look into the other two items you mention, but would you mind creating a new thread for them so we can address them there? I have a hunch that they are related to other customizations and conflicts with the theme you’re using. Before opening the new thread, please try activating the default WordPress Twenty Thirteen theme to see if the issues are still there.

    Does this help answer your original question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Thanks for chiming in, funniteart. I definitely appreciate knowing this is something you’re also looking for. At the same time, I want to encourage you to share your feature requests over on our UserVoice page, so we can properly review it and let others vote on the feature as well. We like to keep our requests for features and support separated so nothing falls through the cracks. 🙂

    I know that we advertise a lot of the features that come with the PRO plugin, but I’m not aware of anything regarding the ability to select pre-existing tickets for events. If we’ve miscommunicated that somewhere, please let us know where and we’ll fix that communication for others and offer you a refund if it’s not hitting your needs.

    You’re welcome to continue following this thread if you find it relevant to an issue you’re experiencing, but please open a separate thread if you have a separate issue so we can tackle the original thread.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mark, thanks for getting in touch. That’s definitely strange, but let’s see if we can tackle it together.

    I see you’re using this URL in your main menu:

    http://franklydifferent.com/iod1213/events-listings/

    I also see that the URL for a single event uses the same slug:

    http://franklydifferent.com/iod1213/events-listings/annual-conference/

    I’ve seen this sort of thing happen when the same slug is used for both the calendar view and the single event view. Are you able to change these in Events > Settings? Try using “event-listings” for the “Events URL slug” and “event” for the “Single event URL slug” field and let me know if that helps.

    By the way, thanks for providing a test site with the defaults–this is super helpful!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Thanks for the quick follow-up, Nancy! You beat us to the punch. 🙂

    I’ll also throw in that there are a number of interesting plugins that might be worth exploring that would allow you to customize the admin menu. I don’t have any particular recommendations, but there could be something in there if you ever need something:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=admin+menu

    But it sounds like you’re already good to go! I’m going to go ahead and close this thread, but please feel free to hit us back up if you have any other questions.

    Hi there, Rolf! Thanks for getting in touch. 🙂

    Great question. We don’t currently have a site you can log into and demo the plugin. However, we do offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase if the plugin doesn’t meet your needs for any reason. That will allow you to install it and see if it works well with your setup.

    Does that help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Fazli and welcome to the support forums! I checked out your website–love how you’ve set up the calendar. Great work. 🙂

    I am able to see the tickets on the single event (screenshot). Are you not seeing the same thing? Here is a link to the page I was looking at.

    Please let me know if you’re seeing something else and we’ll take it from there.

    Hi Michael, thanks for getting in touch! Sorry you’re hitting some issues with the display, but let’s see if we can tackle it here together. 🙂

    It looks like the titles are set to display: none in your theme’s stylesheets (style.css):

    .events-archive .entry-title {
      display: none;
    }

    Are you able to remove that from the stylesheet? Give that a shot and let me know if that clears it up.

    Cheers!

    My pleasure! We always love seeing the awesome ways the plugin is customized, so please share if you get it working. 🙂

    Definitely something worth considering. If you’re interested in seeing that feature in a future release, I’d suggest adding it to our UserVoice page. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.

    I’m going to go ahead and close this thread, but thanks again for getting in touch and please don’t hesitate to start a new thread is any other questions pop up.

    Cheers!
