Geoff
MemberHi there, Teri! Thanks for getting in touch.
Great questions, let’s tackle them one at a time.
1. can I get a discount as a valued customer?
We love that you’re a customer! While we don’t have a discount at the moment, I’d recommend following us on Twitter and signing up for our newsletter (see bottom of the screen). We will often announce special discounts to everyone there. π
2. If I renew my community plugin now, will a year be added the expire Nov 7th when my renewal date is or will it add a calendar year to my subscription and cause me to loose a month?
The expiration date will still be from the date of your original purchase. In other words, you will not lose a month because you renew early–we definitely wouldn’t want to penalize you for being on top of things. π
Does that help answer your questions? If you have any other license-related questions, I’d suggest emailing them directly to pro [at] tri.be.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Ale! Welcome to the forums and thanks for reaching out. π
Great questions and comments. Let me try to touch on them one at a time.
Multiple Calendars β having different pages with distinct calendars showing events from different event categories on them
It’s true that multiple calendars are not a feature that is currently supported. However, each event category comes with its own unique URL, which you could use to link directly to a particular category. For example, a category for Concerts would have the URL [your-site]/events/category/concert.
Also, you may want to check out our Filter Bar add on, which adds functionality for visitors to easily toggle between event variable, such as categories. I know it’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but it is a nice feature.
The ability to embed a calendar
This is a big one that we’ve received requests for before and that we’re looking into. As you can imagine, there are a lot of different ways to go about this and we want to do it in the way that works best. However, there is a third-party plugin called Event Rocket (not supported by us) that adds shortcode embedding functionality to our plugin. That might be worth checking out in your case, but please use cautiously since we don’t officially support it.
If you have other ideas for feature requests and have a moment, it would be awesome if you could head over to our UserVoice page and submit them there. We check there often for popular ideas to work into upcoming releases. Here’s the request for adding shortcode embedding functionality.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. π

MemberHi there, Benji! Welcome to the forums and for getting in touch. π
Awesome job pinning the issue down to plugin conflict. That’s super helpful and much appreciated!
We try to support as many other themes and plugins as possible. However, it’s can be difficult in some cases, especially those where tow plugins are touching the same functionality. In this case, it appears both Community and Restricted Site Access both do stuff that affects the level of access people have on the site, depending on their assigned roles. In other words, it’s totally possible both plugins are doing nothing “wrong” here but overlap in conflicting ways that affect performance.
I wonder if there is a way to exclude the Restricted Site Access functionality on events pages. Are you able to write a filter that would do that? Sounds like that would get you what you’re looking for and avoid the conflict.
Does that make sense? Will that work for you? Please let me know. π

GeoffOctober 3, 2014 at 8:39 am in reply to: Home Page Slider is showing on events page – No Bueno! #785221Geoff
MemberHi there, Timothy! Welcome to the forums and thanks for reaching out. π
No bueno, indeed. When you go to Events > Settings > Display, do you have the “Default Events Template” selected for Events Template option (screenshot)? That template should only display event-related content.Β If you are using the default events template and the slider is still on the page, then I suspect the slider is being placed there either by the theme or another plugin.
Is the slider controlled by the theme or by a plugin? I would start by heading to the settings for it to see if there are options for where to include and exclude it from showing.
I also noticed that there is breadcrumb on the Events page that says: You are Home. Is it possible that theme thinks that the Events page is your homepage? If so, that would also explain why the slider is displayed.
If nothing else works, I would suggest following our steps to test for conflicts. This will help determine whether this is an issue with theme, the plugin, or another installed plugin.
Does that make sense? Will that work for you? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Jim! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re hitting an issue with the widget, but hopefully we can tackle it together. π
It certainly sounds like a theme conflict would explain why the filters are not taking effect in the Event List widget. It’s also possible another installed plugin could be causing it as well. Does the issue resolve itself when reverting to the default Twenty Fourteen theme, like the issue with featured images?
Also, have you tried deactivating all other non-Modern Tribe plugins to see if that resolves the issue? If it does, you can try reactivating the plugins one at a time to pinpoint which one is causing the conflict.
The filter seems to be working correctly on my end when I test, so my hunch is that one of the above options is going to help us get to the bottom of it. Please give them a shot and let me know what you find. π

MemberHi there, Brad! Thanks for getting in touch. π
Good question. Events are registered as their own post type in our plugin. I’m unfamiliar with how time.ly works, but I imagine it’s probably the same. All that to say that I don’t think it’s a straight 1:1 conversion.
However, we do have a handy CSV importer that will allow you to upload your events from a single spreadsheet. Check out this tutorial that includes a video walkthrough of how that works. I believe this is going to be the cleanest and fastest way to move your data from one to the other.
Does that help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Shaya! That’s certainly a strange issue and I’m sorry you’re running into it.
There are definitely some limitations with both the WP XML exporter and the ECP CSV importer when it comes to capturing all the correct event data, as I’m sure you’ve already been able to tell. Sorry about that!
Is it possible the the second XML import fooled the system into thinking each event was recurring since there were duplicates? You might want to try re-importing when there are no events on the site and start with a clean slate.
Another (somewhat drastic) option is to remove all the event data from the new site and then re-import the XML from the old site. You can check out the Event Rocket plugin (not supported by us), which has the option to wipe out all data so you have a clean database to work with.
Will either of those work for you? Please let me know. π

MemberHey there,Β SΓ©rgio
This is the line you’re going to look for inΒ edit-venue.php:
<?php tribe_get_template_part( 'community/modules/venue' ); ?>That’s what calling theΒ modules/venue.php file and where you can pass the code to remove the dropdown. Give that a shot and let me know if you are able to do that.
I believe we’re using bbPress for the forums including the login, but there’s been a lot of customization to it. π

October 2, 2014 at 4:50 pm in reply to: Blog and Archive Pages have class .current_page_parent when on Event pages #783844Geoff
MemberHi there, Cintia! So sorry for the late reply. We made some updates to our system and this thread sort of slipped through the cracks. My apologies!
Looking closer at your code, it appears that the Community Corner is set as the parent for the Courses page. In other words, it looks like somewhere down the line, you set the Courses page to be a subpage of Community Corner. The issue will go away once you have removed that hierarchy.
Give that a shot and let me know what you find. π

MemberAh, bummer. I’m sorry there’s a conflict with the theme, but I appreciate you taking the time to confirm it. I’m going to add Enfold 3.0 to a list of themes to keep an eye, so I’m definitely glad you brought it up.
I’m going to go ahead and close this thread, but please feel free to hit us up with a new thread if any other questions pop up. We’d be happy to help. π

MemberHi there, Anthony! Thanks for reaching out and sorry you’re running into an issue. Hope fully we can work it out together. π
I’ve tried viewing the fields and didn’t notice a difference in the appearance between the first visit and when I refreshed. Are you able to send me a screenshot that compares the differences in appearance? That would be super helpful and allow me to look into this a little further.
Thanks!

MemberHi there, TK! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re running into an issue with the list view. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it together. π
It looks like you are using a theme override for theΒ list/nav.php template. Is that correct? If so, I see a fatal error being thrown on Line 43 of that override. Are you able to check that out and pinpoint what is causing the error?
Cheers!

MemberThanks for chiming in, unitbit! That’s definitely useful. There are known conflicts with WPML (which we hope to solve), so knowing that your situation was tied to that helps shed a little bit of light on it.
Cheers!
