ParticipantHey there. I have the pro plugin with the community pages add-on, which doesn’t seem to be working? The main events page is showing up fine, but when I got to the community pages, it seems to be showing sort of a weird blog posts page. See links below…
http://www.buildmidtown.com/events [working]
http://www.buildmidtown.com/events/community/add [not working]
http://www.buildmidtown.com/events/community/list [not working]I’m currently using the KLEO theme, but it doesn’t seem to be causing conflicts?
Thanks,

ParticipantUpdate… seems like the issue is a conflict with the plugin “Restricted Site Access” (wordpress.org/plugins/restricted-site-access).
Any idea how could go about resolving? I do need that plugin, so hard to just deactivate…

MemberHi there, Benji! Welcome to the forums and for getting in touch. π
Awesome job pinning the issue down to plugin conflict. That’s super helpful and much appreciated!
We try to support as many other themes and plugins as possible. However, it’s can be difficult in some cases, especially those where tow plugins are touching the same functionality. In this case, it appears both Community and Restricted Site Access both do stuff that affects the level of access people have on the site, depending on their assigned roles. In other words, it’s totally possible both plugins are doing nothing “wrong” here but overlap in conflicting ways that affect performance.
I wonder if there is a way to exclude the Restricted Site Access functionality on events pages. Are you able to write a filter that would do that? Sounds like that would get you what you’re looking for and avoid the conflict.
Does that make sense? Will that work for you? Please let me know. π
Cheers!

ParticipantGet Geoff. So still working on this, although I realize — is it possible the Events Calendar is making a server call that’s getting blocked? As in, is the events module effectively an iframe?
If so, with the restricted access plugin, you can whitelist IP addresses to let them through.. perhaps there’s an IP address of your guys’ service I might be able to list to ensure there’s no interference?

MemberGood question. No iFrames are being used to display the content in Community. Here’s the tree structure of the plugin if you’re curious about the libraries that are actively involved in the Community form.
By the way, I’m going to re-file this thread in the Community forum for reference sake. The URL will still be the same, but it will help us and others find it in the future. π
Thanks!
