Want to use this as my platform but features missing

So I did some research and decided Events Calendar is the platform for me because of its wootickets integration with woo commerce. I installed Events Calendar free and bought wootickets straight away.

However after installing it I found it is missing some key features without which I can’t operate my company and which I assumed were there because they seem so obvious to me from working using google calendars in my small company. Those features are:
-Multiple Calendars – having different pages with distinct calendars showing events from different event categories on them
-The ability to embed a calendar

I appreciate that this is a big piece of work but I saw a lot of requests for these features in multiple threads on the forums and even a suggestion from a developer from a year ago that version 3 would introduce multiple calendars which clearly hasn’t happened.

I am really interested in getting Events Calendar PRO and the Facebook Plugin (and possibly the filter plugin when we have a little more money) but the lack of these basic features is a dealbreaker for me so I will have to consider jumping ship.

Great questions and comments. Let me try to touch on them one at a time.

Multiple Calendars – having different pages with distinct calendars showing events from different event categories on them

It’s true that multiple calendars are not a feature that is currently supported. However, each event category comes with its own unique URL, which you could use to link directly to a particular category. For example, a category for Concerts would have the URL [your-site]/events/category/concert.

Also, you may want to check out our Filter Bar add on, which adds functionality for visitors to easily toggle between event variable, such as categories. I know it’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but it is a nice feature.

The ability to embed a calendar

This is a big one that we’ve received requests for before and that we’re looking into. As you can imagine, there are a lot of different ways to go about this and we want to do it in the way that works best. However, there is a third-party plugin called Event Rocket (not supported by us) that adds shortcode embedding functionality to our plugin. That might be worth checking out in your case, but please use cautiously since we don’t officially support it.
