MemberAwesome, thanks for following up!
Just curious, does this happen when template overrides are removed? I want to see if we can isolate this to one of the customized templates since I’m still unable to replicate the issue.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, superbigcat! Thanks for chiming in. ๐
It looks like this thread is pretty dated and a solution was provided in a similar thread.
If you’re running the latest version of the plugins and the issue is still popping up for you after trying the provided solution, we should troubleshoot this in a new thread with a clean slate.
Before you do, I’d suggest following these steps to see if the issue can be narrowed down to a theme or plugin conflict first. If the issue still exists after you’ve tested for conflicts, open a new thread and we’d be happy to help you out. I’ll close this thread in the meantime. ๐

MemberHi there, Erin! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. ๐
Great question. Unfortunately, grouping tickets by category isn’t currently a feature that is supported right out of the box. We’ve had a similar request for such a feature on our UserVoice page. I’d encourage you to add your vote if you’d like to see it in a future release, or submit a request of your own so others can vote on it as well.
That said, you may be able to accomplish this with some custom development.ย I do want to note first of all, though, that we are fairly limited in terms of helping out with custom development questions. Weโd love to point you in the right direction if we can.
One idea is to override the ticket form that displays on the single events page. Check out our Themer’s Guide for more information on how to override calendar plugin templates in your theme. In this case, the temple you want to override is located in /wootickets/views/wootickets/ticket.php. Once that is in your theme files, it can be modified to fit your needs.
From there, you might be able to customize the code to display tickets by looping through product categories. Product categories are handled by WooCommerce, so you will want to refer to their documentation for more information.
Sorry I don’t have a more concrete answer, but I hope this helps point you in the right direction. ๐

MemberHi there, Stacey! Thanks for getting in touch. Sorry your’e hitting some trouble here, but hopefully we can figure it out together.
First off, thanks for sharing the screenshots of your settings–super helpful!
I tried creating an event using the same recurring event settings and everything seemed to be working.
Deactivated all other plugins?ย Yes
Switched to a default theme?ย YesAs a first step to troubleshooting, can you tell me if you noticed any difference when switching to a default WordPress theme (e.g. Twenty Fourteen) and deactivating all other plugins? Was the time still an hour ahead in those conditions?
Secondly, are your using any customizations to the plugin? I’m wondering if you’re using any template overrides or functions that would override the default behavior.
Another possibility is your timezone settings.ย Can you go to your Dashboard area under Settings > General and verify that the time zone is set to your local time?
Are you able to share a link where I can see the issue in action? That would help me be able to dig into this a little deeper. You can use a private reply if it helps.
Please give these steps a try and let me know what you find. ๐
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Paul! Thanks for following up. ๐
Shoot, sorry, there isn’t a tutorial or guide specifically on how to do this, but I can point you to some resources that will help.
The first thing to check out is our Themer’s Guide. This will walk you through how to create overrides of the calendar templates so you can custom them to fit your needs. In this case, I would check out the templates located in /the-events-calendar-community-events/views/community/modules for the specific form sections you want to override.ย Once in your theme you can edit the fields as you like.
One idea might be to pre-fill the fields with information about your users byย running aย WordPress function to get the current user,ย get the information you would like to include, and echo that information directly in the fields. Just a thought.
I hope this helps you get started–good luck!
Cheers!

MemberHi there Rodel!ย Thanks for following up.
Shoot, sorry the Event Rocket doesn’t seem to be working out. Unfortunately, that plugin isn’t supported by us here in the forums. If it seems like it isn’t supported by your theme, you’ll need to fiddle with it or possibly find a different solution than it provides.
Your other alternative is to create your own full-width page template, include the calendar template in it, then create a page in WordPress using the template and set it to your homepage.
This will certainly take some custom development on your end, but here are a couple of resources to help you get started:
- Themer’s Guide: An overview on how to customize the calendar templates and override them in your theme files.
- Plugin Docs: The full documentation for our plugins.
Ultimately, I think you’re pretty close. Sorry I don’t have a concrete answer for you, but hopefully this helps point you in the right direction. ๐

MemberHi there, Rodel! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. We hope you’re enjoying the plugin so far. ๐
Great questions. Let’s see if we can tackle them one at a time.
Is there any way to display full width calendar on a custom page?
Absolutely. You can either do that with a theme override (more on this in our Themer’s Guide) or using a third party plugin like Event Rocket (not supported by us) to embed the calendar on any page template you already have available in your theme.
ย I would also like to set the calendar as my homepage
The easiest way to make this happen is probably to use the same Event Rocket plugin. Alternatively, you can include the calendar template in your theme’s template. Here’s a thread that covers that in a little more detail.
Does this helps answer your questions? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Paul! Thanks for getting in touch. ๐
Good question. There is the option to use default venues and organizers. You can turn this feature on by heading over to Events > Settings > Community and setting the defaults at the bottom of the screen. Be sure to hit “Save Changes” if you set those defaults.
There is also ways of setting default content for the calendar globally by using the settings under Events > Settings > Default Content. These aren’t specific to the Community Events form, but will take hold globally for the core calendar plugin instead.
Those are the best ways to pre-populate the content right out of the box. You may be able to pre-populate other fields, but that would take custom development. If you have ideas for features that would make the form simpler for users, we’d love to hear them on our UserVoice page for consideration in future releases.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!
