ParticipantHi there – I have just revisited my site today and noticed the there is an error in the layout of a single event page. The “details” right hand column has completely dissapeared, and there seems to be a duplication of the date etc. Here is an example.

Please could you let me know if there have been any updates or what my issue might be. Many thanks in advanceNovember 10, 2014 at 8:11 am #873857Geoff
MemberHi there, Justin! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re running into some trouble here. Let’s see if we can figure it out together. 🙂
Are you running the latest version of all the plugins? I see version 3.8 referenced in the notes, but we do have a version 3.8.1 Â for the core plugin and PRO and 3.8.2 for Community Events. Are you able to update those to the latest versions if they aren’t already? I’d like to start there to see if that makes a difference.
If the issue still pops up, could you try temporarily activating the default Twenty Thirteen theme, to see if the issue happens there as well?
If disabling the theme fixes it, that’s good news! It means we have narrowed the issue down to a theme conflict.
If the issue is still there when using the default Twenty Thirteen theme, then we can try testing for conflicts with other installed plugins. Using the Twenty Thirteen, please try deactivating all of your plugins, except for the ones from Modern Tribe. Does that solve the problem? If so, reactivate the plugins one at a time until the issue pops back up, then tell me which one was causing the issue.
These steps are also outlined here if you want some more details on how to test for conflicts.
Give those steps a shot and let me know what you find.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Justin!
Great job with the testing! It looks like you were able to narrow it down to a conflict with the theme since the issue went away when activating the default WordPress theme.
I realize the theme advertises compatibility with our plugins, but it could very well be it is not compatible with the latest version. I would suggest contacting the theme author to let them know there is an issue and ask whether they can provide a solution to fix the issue at the theme level.
An alternative might be to try an installing earlier version of the plugins to see any of those bring back the proper level of integration with that particular theme.
I’m sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for you here, but I hope this points you in the right direction.
Cheers!

ParticipantHi There – no, the issue still remains. I have gone back to the theme developers at Vamtam, but they have been very slow to respond and can’t seem to solve the issue. Not too sure how to progress this really!

MemberHi there, Justin. Sorry you’re still hitting some trouble here. Since we were able to narrow the conflict down to the theme, getting a response from the theme author for guidance is going to be the most solid way to solve the issue.
In the meantime, you may want to also confirm that you are using the “Default Events Template” in the Events > Settings > Display.
An alternative could be to set up your own page template in the theme and use that to override the issue the theme is causing. You can find more information on setting up your custom templates for the calendar in our Themer’s Guide.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for you, but I hope this helps point you in the right direction.
Cheers!

MemberThanks for following up, Justin! I’m glad that solved the issue, but I’m sorry another one popped up in its place. I’ll go ahead and close this thread and we’ll be happy to help you out in the new thread you opened. 🙂
Cheers!
