Hi there, Ben! Welcome back to the forums. 🙂

That’s an interesting question. Events are a custom post type. Tickets are Products and Products are also their own custom post type, though they are created through WooCommerce instead of the WooTickets plugin.

So, that means Events and Tickets are two different post types and would need to be bulk duplicated separately from one another. The tricky part I imagine would be duplicating them in a way where Tickets are still associated to the respective Events.

It sounds like you were able to successfully use a bulk duplication method to Events posts, so you will want to do the same to your tickets as Products posts as well. If you’re stuck there, I would suggest hitting up WooCommerce since those posts are ultimately controlled in that plugin.

Does that help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi there, Vera!

Thanks for following up from the previous thread. I searched for the issue in our system and see it is scheduled to be included in the next release. I don’t have an exact date for when that is coming, but I believe it will be in the next week, though that’s more personal speculation than anything.

I see that Josh mentioned we would be following up with you in your previous post when the fix has been released. We still intend to do that, so we’ll correspond with you there for further updates.

    Cheers!

Hi there, Felicity! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome back to the forums. We hope you’ve been enjoying the plugin so far. 🙂

Great question about adding a button to the List view. I do want to note first of all, though, that we are fairly limited in terms of helping out with custom development questions like this one. That said, we’d love to point you in the right direction if we can.

You could edit your list.php template (check out our Themer’s Guide) and use the tribe_get_ticket_form() template tag in there.

Here’s an example of what that might look like. You may need to play with it a little bit to fit your theme, but hopefully it points you in the right direction. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi there, Joerg! Thanks for getting in touch and checking out the plugins. 🙂

Good question. There is an available option in the plugin to simply display the first instance of a recurring series. This will certainly help with the issue of displaying a multitude of events on your site, but do want to note two important things about that setting:

    • It only applies to list views. In other words, the recurring instances will still be displayed on the calendar month (aka grid) view. This makes sense since a day that contains events should display those events.
    • The posts are still there. In other words, the events posts for the entire series are still accessible on your site. For example, there is a “See All” link in a recurring instance that allows the visitor to see all the events in that particular recurring series.

Is it possible to get customized help on development?

Certainly! Although we unable to provide that level of custom support here in the forums, we’d be happy to pass along the names of some freelancers who may be able to help you out if you send us an email to pro [at] tri.be.

Also, I do want to encourage you to take the PRO plugin for a test drive to see if it will work for you. Our plugins come with a full refund as long as you email us back (at the same address) for a refund request within 30-days of purchase and include your original receipt. That should give you ample time to give it whirl.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know and thanks again for reaching out. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi there, Courtney! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome back to the forums. 🙂

Good question and, no, it’s not obvious so I’m glad you asked.

The page title can be changed by using a filter in your theme’s functions.php file. Here is a snippet with examples of all the different ways to change the title throughout the entire plugin. Use this and customize it to suit your needs.

Will that work for you? Please let me know. 🙂

Hello Carolyn! Thanks for following up 🙂

Absolutely, the CSS itself wouldn’t create a conflict with Javascript as far as I can tell. However, the options in the dropdown all share the same class, meaning hiding one of them would hide them all. I suppose one option might be to use pseudo classes to display the first element (e.g. :first-child) but then hide the rest.

The duplicate venues thing is interesting. Currently, if a visitor submits a venue with the exact same information as an existing venue, it will be accepted. That means the duplicated event would need to be removed manually on the back end. The largest number of venues I’ve seen in a working example is about 50, but the menu will certainly accommodate 100+ as well–the user can either scroll through it, or use the search bar at the top of the list.

Checking for duplicate event sounds like it would be a great feature. If you have a moment, it would be awesome if you shared it on our UserVoice page. We check there for new feature ideas to include in upcoming releases and I can see how that would be a useful one.

    Cheers!

    Hi there, Clay!

Yes, we’re on the same page. 🙂

I see the categories you are referring to on other pages of your site. If I’m not mistaken, those categories are part of your theme’s sidebar. The calendar’s default event template (which you’re using) does not include a sidebar. The solution, then, is to add a sidebar by using one of the two methods outlined in my previous reply.

I hope this helps and clarifies my response a bit.

    Cheers!

    Hi there, Guy!

You’ll want to wrap the calendar in the code for the grid. Here’s an example of what that might look like.

You may need to fiddle with the example a bit to get it to work exactly with your theme and Bootstrap. For that, I would recommend referring to Bootstrap’s documentation. I’m afraid this is as far as I can help with custom development, but I really think this will help steer you in the clear. 🙂

Hi there Rafael, thanks for following up!

Shoot, I thought that snippet would do the trick. It seems to work on my local installation, but perhaps there’s something else blocking it on yours. Sorry about that.

Yes, the next best alternative will be to work with the Translations community. Of course, you’re welcome to add the string to the .pot file yourself, but otherwise hopefully someone in the community would be happy to pitch in. 🙂

I’ll go ahead and close this thread since we seem to have hit your question, but please feel free to hit us up with a new thread if any other questions pop up. We’d be happy to help.

Hey there, Lucas! Thanks for getting in touch and checking out the plugins. 🙂

Great question. Technically, you only need a single license for a multisite installation since the license key is only added to the main network admin.

It’s sort of the honor system, but we’d prefer it if you purchased the license that matches the number of sites you will be managing–the number of sites you maintain with the plugins reflects the level of support you may be needing and helps us provide better support for you. 🙂

Does that help answer your question? Please let me know.

Hi there, Marcia! Welcome back to the forums. Nice to see you again. 🙂

Good question. Unfortunately, there is no existing setting that limits the word count for event descriptions and I am unaware of a method for how to make that happen.

That’s an interesting idea though. If you’d like to see it added as a feature, I’d suggest submitting it on our UserVoice page. We check there for popular feature ideas to include in future releases.

Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution to offer here, but does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

Hi there, Christoph! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. 🙂

Great question. Rest assured–there are no auto-renewals on licenses. You will get a notification in your WordPress dashboard when your license is nearing expiration and you can manually renew from there.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!
