    Hi there,
i already asked in the general wp forum about the recurring events and the point to show these recurring dates of single event in only one single event page. the point is when i would create one event (its more course than event) then 99% of these events are recurring events. so i want to avoide to create dublicates because i know how much google hates dublicates and also the custome should be able to see a event page + description and all the details when this event will take place and which locations. So is there no way to handle this for example 3 recurring dates in one event page instead of 3 single pages that are the same or in other words dublicates?
Is it possible to get customized help on development? I dont want to look for another plugin because i realy like your one. but these dublicate pages will be a show stopper because its not only my decision on which plugin we will choose. :-/
I hope you have at least a bit good news on that. πŸ™‚

    Cheers

Hi there,Β Joerg! Thanks for getting in touch and checking out the plugins. πŸ™‚

Good question. There is an available option in the plugin to simply display the first instance of a recurring series. This will certainly help with the issue of displaying a multitude of events on your site, but do want to note two important things about that setting:

    • It only applies to list views. In other words, the recurring instances will still be displayed on the calendar month (aka grid) view. This makes sense since a day that contains events should display those events.
    • The posts are still there. In other words, the events posts for the entire series are still accessible on your site. For example, there is a “See All” link in a recurring instance that allows the visitor to see all the events in that particular recurring series.

Is it possible to get customized help on development?

Certainly! Although we unable to provide that level of custom support here in the forums, we’d be happy to pass along the names of some freelancers who may be able to help you out if you send us an email to pro [at] tri.be.

Also, I do want to encourage you to take the PRO plugin for a test drive to see if it will work for you. Our plugins come with a full refund as long as you email us back (at the same address) for a refund request within 30-days of purchase and include your original receipt. That should give you ample time to give it whirl.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know and thanks again for reaching out. πŸ™‚

    Cheers!

    Hi Geoff,
thank you for your fast and detailed reply! I appreciate that. πŸ™‚
I think i will try the pro version. the website is currently on a testserver anyway and if it will fit i will move it to the live version and hopefully keep your plugin. but ofcourse i need to test a real szenario. The other point is that i do offer.. i would not say realy events as concerts.. its more courses/seminars so the list views i dont like that they are sorted by months.. because in my case i would need to sort it as or through categories. but i think this is one of the easy thing to change/adapt.
Also where can i find the information of all values that i can import through the importer? currently i am only importing the standard fields but is is possible to import later in pro the additional fields right?
another point are the venues because we do offer the courses through the whole country (germany).. so .. on 90%.. one course takes place 3-4 times a year and also in two different cities.
aaah i see more and more questions are coming up but at least i need to do a real test. But i will need some help i think.
    Cheers,
    Joerg

Awesome, I definitely think a test drive is a good idea in this case. I really think a hands-on experience here is worth a ton to make sure it works for you.

Also where can i find the information of all values that i can import through the importer?

I’d suggest checking out this handy tutorial. It will walk you through the ins and outs of the CSV importer, including a video that shows how it all works.

aaah i see more and more questions are coming up but at least i need to do a real test. But i will need some help i think.

Yes, I imagine more questions will pop up. I’ll go ahead and close this thread since I think we’ve hit on your original question, but please don’t hesitate to start a new thread if other questions come up and we’ll gladly help out. πŸ™‚

    Cheers!
    Geoff
