MemberHey Sean,
Good question. There is no best theme or framework as far as we know, though some themes (like Avada) have made a special effort to integrate The Events Calendar into their framework for smooth compatibility.
The sheer number of themes and frameworks out there makes it tough to test (or even guarantee) compatibility with everything. For that reason, we offer a full 30-day refund on all purchases so that you have a chance to test our plugins with the themes of your choice and find a combination that’s right for you. I find that test driving the plugins in your own environment is the surest way to getting what you need, so this should afford you the chance to do just that.
Does this help answer you question? Please let me know if you have any others and I’d be happy to answer as best I can. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHello Christina and thanks for getting in touch!
The Filter Bar stays with the full view of the calendar, so it is unable to be used as a widget on any page or post.
While it’s not quite what you’re looking for, there is a cool trick to move the Filter Bar and it could be used to add it to other pages as well. It takes quite a bit of custom development, but is interesting nonetheless.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi Alain,
Would you be willing to share a copy of your theme so I can test it on my end? You can zip it up and share it via Dropbox or another file-sharing service.
Thanks!

MemberHey Daniel, thanks for reaching out!
The calendar uses the default WordPress function for excerpts, the_excerpt(). You could use a filter to control the length of those excerpts–there’s a great example in the WordPress Codex.
That might looks something like this in your functions.php file:

Does this help you get started? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberThanks for chiming in, @eigthgr! That sounds correct–any move from the event to PayPal should move the ticket order status from New to Pending Payment and decrease the inventory in response, even if the purchase is abandoned without signing into PayPal. Moving the order status to Cancelled will then replenish the inventory.

In looking at the calendar’s templates, the plugin uses the_title() to fetch the event post title. There may be something else in the code preventing the function from working properly.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread since we’re pushing beyond the scope of pre-sales questions. You’re totally welcome to use our documentation and knowledgebase for more information. If you need more technical support, however, please do post in our open source forum and we’ll see you there in our next pass.
Thanks,

MemberAwesome! Thanks for giving that a try and for following up–I’m so glad to hear things are working. 🙂

MemberThanks for following up, James! That’s an interesting idea for sure and I’d encourage you to submit it to our feature request forum. In the meantime, I’m afraid a WordPress account is the only sure way to force an email on event submission.
Did you have any other questions about the Community Events form and email addresses? If so, please let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can.

MemberHowdy Tess,
Sorry for the trouble here with activating Eventbrite Tickets!
I just tried activating and authorizing the plugin myself on a fresh test site and it seemed to work ok. I see that you also tried:
<ul class=”meta”>
<li class=”troubleshoot_plugins”>Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
<li class=”troubleshoot_theme”>Switched to a default theme? YesDid you happen to notice any difference when trying to authorize Eventbrite Tickets with your Eventbrite.com account when using a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Fifteen) and deactivating all other non-Modern Tribe plugins?
Also, I noticed you are using WordPress 4.3.1. While it’s a long shot that could be the issue, is there a reason for not updating to WordPress 4.4? It would be good to test with that as well.
Let’s start here and see what we find.
Cheers!

MemberHi Graham,
That’s certainly interesting! I Â do notice that your calendar URL is set to:
/event
…which is the same slug used for your events:
/event/southwark-feminist-theology-february-meeting-brixton/
Will you please head to Events > Settings and change the slug of your calendar to /events instead? Let’s see if that helps things at all.
Thanks!

MemberHello @quincy,
While there is not export to CSV option, I would suggest using the default WordPress Export tool (Tools > Export) instead. That will allow you to export the information you need from one site to the other.
Will that work for you? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHello James,
The best way to go about this would be to disable anonymous users from submitting events in the Community Events settings. That would force a user to sign in prior to creating an event and it links those submissions to the user who submitted them, including their email address.
Does this make sense and will it work for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Peter,
Thanks for reaching out!
You can customize the ticket form using a template override of the following file:
/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/rsvp.php
Our Themer’s Guide provides a more thorough outline for how template overrides work and I’d suggest reviewing that.
From there, you can follow the same process for customizing the calendar templates to display the ticket form where you would like.
Cheers!
