ParticipantI’m currently using your WooCommerce ticket plugin and try to upgrade to Event Ticket Plus after having read that you discontinue the WooCommerce plugin.
I have an event + tickets: https://www.ortlermountainchallenge.com/trade/event/1st-ortler-mountain-challenge-for-als/
When I follow your upgrade path to Tickets Plus, the URL returns a white page after activating the new ticket plugin.
I noticed the following:
– when editing the event page from the dashboard, tickets dissapear from the screen after activation of the new plugin.
– when I create a new event everything works fine, however when I try to add a new ticket, nothing happens when I click the SAVE button. When I try to update the event page, I get a ‘server error’.Please advise,
Kind regards,
AlainDecember 24, 2015 at 10:36 am #1046431Geoff
MemberHello Alain,
Sorry for the trouble with activation!
I checked your system information and it looks like Event Tickets isn’t installed. Once that is installed, then you should be able to install and activate Event Tickets Plus. Both are required for things to run smoothly.
At that point too, you should be able to deactivate WooCommerce Tickets. 🙂
Does this work for you? Please let me know.
Cheers!

ParticipantBoth event tickets & event tickets plus are installed, as well as the woocommerce tickets plugin.
When I deactivate the woocommerce tickets plugin and activate event tickets & event ticket plus, I get a white screen when going to my event.

MemberHi Alain and sorry for the continues trouble here!
By chance, have you added any snippets for the calendar to your theme’s functions.php file or do you have any custom calendar templates in your theme? You can check for the custom templates by opening your theme folder and looking for a sub-folder called tribe-events.
Thanks!

MemberHi Alain,
Would you be willing to share a copy of your theme so I can test it on my end? You can zip it up and share it via Dropbox or another file-sharing service.
Thanks!

ParticipantJust the theme folder? FYI, I have the same problem with the twenty-fourteen theme.

MemberYes, please! The theme folder would be perfect. 🙂
In the meantime, have you tried activating Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus when all other (non-Modern Tribe) plugins are deactivated?
Thanks!

ParticipantYes I did try with all other plugins deactivated, without succes.
Can you provide me with an e-mailadress where I can send a We Transfer invitation to send you the zipped themes folder to?
Kind regards,

Have a nice day!December 31, 2015 at 7:51 am #1048549Geoff
MemberAwesome, thank you SO much. I received the theme and have been playing around with it. 🙂
It looks like everything continues to work fine with the Avada theme active and the following plugins installed:
- The Events Calendar 4.0.4
- Events Calendar PRO 4.0.3
- Event Tickets 4.0.4
- Event Tickets Plus 4.0.4
- WooCommerce 2.4.12
- Fusion Core 1.7.7 (required by the theme)
Those are the only plugins I have installed.
– when editing the event page from the dashboard, tickets dissapear from the screen after activation of the new plugin.
I tried editing an event after activating the theme and plugins and the tickets were still present before and after the event was updated.
– when I create a new event everything works fine, however when I try to add a new ticket, nothing happens when I click the SAVE button. When I try to update the event page, I get a ‘server error’.
Let’s explore the server error portion of this. Was there an error message that came along with the server error or was it a generic sort of error with no message?
My hunch is that the server is not allowing enough memory for PHP to fully run the actions being performed by the plugins. If that’s the case, then there are some things we can try before going to the host, but let’s see if there was a message in the error before we go that route.
Thanks again for your help and happy new year. 🙂

ParticipantHI Geoff,
First of all the best wishes from Belgium for 2016!
Regarding your questions:
PHP memory limit is now set at 256 mb. Do you want me to increase that? If so, what would you suggest?
The error isn’t specific, it just states: ‘server error 500’Hope we can soon find a solution.
Kind regards,
AlainJanuary 5, 2016 at 7:47 am #1050519Geoff
MemberThanks so much and happy new year to you as well from California! Here’s to a great 2016. 🙂
OK, so Server 500 errors can mean a number of things. We’ve ruled out one of the most likely causes, which is code in either the theme or another plugin that could be conflicting with The Events Calendar (or Event Tickets).
We’ve also tried increasing the PHP memory with no luck. That is a common cause as well.
The next thing I would suggest is to reach out to your host and ask for more memory. Some hosts restrict the amount of memory that can be allocated to PHP, even if you specify a larger amount in your files, and requesting more from the host is the only way to overcome that.
I hate the idea of bouncing you to someone else for support, but let’s give that a shot. At worst, the host might have some additional information we can use to keep moving this thread forward.
Thanks for all your help and patience while we check this out together!
