MemberHey Antony,
Great question. That is actually something we’re interested in building, but I’m afraid it isn’t supported in Community Events yet.
In the meantime, you might want to check out Restrict Content Pro. That is a plugin that adds a paywall between visitors and any page on your site — so that could be a viable option.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. ๐

MemberHello Jenny — welcome and hope you had a great weekend!
Great questions. To be totally honest, I am not completely sure how well The Events Calendar and bbPress integrate. We actually use bbPress to help power these forums, so we do have a little bit of familiarity there. What I can say is thatย Community Events does require a sign-up but it goes through the normal WordPress process, which is very similar to bbPress. In fact, once someone has registered to the site from Community Events, then they technically are “in the system” and bbPress ought to recognize them as community members.
As far as the Community Events form integrating directly with bbPress, though, that is something I think would take custom development, depending on what needs to be integrated.
โ We donโt require โticketsโ as such, so is tickets Pro overkill?
Yeah, sounds like Event Tickets Plus might be unnecessary in this case. It connects our free Event Tickets plugin with an ecommerce plugin (like WooCommerce) to create and sell tickets. But if selling tickets isn’t going to be a component of the site, then you can certainly do without it.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. ๐

MemberHi Mark,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Good question. Yes, we actually offer bundles of our products at a discounted price. In this case, I would suggest looking into the Community Manager Bundle, which includes:
- Event Tickets Plus
- Community Events
- Community Tickets
- Filter Bar
…for $299. Then, you can purchase an Events Calendar PRO license separately for $89, bringing the full amount to $388. Advanced Post Manager is completely free and available to download on WordPress.org.
Will this work for you? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!

MemberHi David, and hope you had a great weekend!
Yes, the upgrade will take effect today and the new date of the license will update to one year from today’s date. In other words, there’s no need at all to make any other changes to your sites or account once the upgrade goes through. ๐
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

MemberHi Leigh and hope you had a great weekend!
Here’s what I’m seeing this morning:

Are you seeing the same thing? I sure hope so because it looks like the code is doing the trick — at least when I view it.
Let me know if you’re seeing something different, and perhaps some information on which browser/version you’re using and I can dig a little deeper.
Cheers!

MemberExcellent and nice work! So glad to hear everything is working smoothly. ๐
I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please feel free to let us know if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help.

MemberHey George, thanks a ton for following up!
Eventbrite is defintely a good option. In fact, should you go down that route, we do have an integration with it using our Eventbrite Tickets add-on — that will allow you to sync your events between Eventbrite.com and The Events Calendar so that the events are displayed on your website but the ticket sales, marketing and transactions are handled completely through Eventbrite. Definitely give that a look as you consider options.
Cheers and thanks again for checking out our plugins!

MemberHey Kieran! Andras is out on a much-deserved vacation, so I wanted to follow-up on this with you.
I think Andras’ solution is a good one — in fact, I tried it out myselfย and it appears to do the trick.
What likely happening is that there are custom styles in the Avada theme that need to be touched up a bit to ensure proper styling. For example, the color of the price on hover is controlled specifically through the CSS. Also, I know that Avada has custom templates for the calendar, so the markup Andras provided may conflict with those customizations.
Would you be willing to reach out to the Theme Fusion team (the awesome folks who make Avada) to see if they can offer some assistance here? I hate the idea of bouncing you to another support forum, but I really do think they will have the best idea of how to proceed since they are much more familiar with the code customizations.
Here is their support forum for reference:
https://theme-fusion.com/support/And, of course, we will keep this thread open in the meantime, in case any questions come up from that exchange that we can help answer. ๐
Thanks so much!

MemberHey there! Andras is out on a much deserved vacation, so I wanted to step in and follow up with you on this.
That’s super weird! Though I have seen something like it before.
Do you happen to have caching enabled on your site, or perhaps a caching plugin installed? If so, please try emptying the site cache to see if that makes a difference.
If it doesn’t then would you be willing to follow the steps outlined in this guide? I realize this isn’t exactly a 404 error, but the steps are helpful for flushing possible link caching as well.
And, lastly, if that doesn’t do the trick, then I would suggest trying to delete the event and creating a new one — although it’s a last-ditch method, it has resolved this sort of issue in the past. And, when you do it, try using a different URL for the event than the existing one.
Let’s start here and see what we find.
Thanks!

MemberHi Leigh and happy Friday!
Ah, I see exactly what you mean and it looks like it’s coming from the Avada theme. I was able to remove that space by adding this CSS to the theme’sย style.css or you can use the Simple Custom CSS plugin:
.fusion-portfolio-post .fusion-image-wrapper { display: none; }Will this work for you? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!

MemberOh, whoops, I think I misunderstood your question. Scratch that.
This is a better idea of what you’re looking for:
#tribe-events .tribe-events-list .fusion-tribe-primary-info .tribe-events-list-event-title a { background: blue; color: #fff; }Sorry about that!
GeoffGeoff
MemberHi Astrid and happy Friday!
Ah yes, it looks like that’s coming straight from the Avada theme, but you can remove it altogether using this CSS:
#tribe-events .tribe-events-list .fusion-tribe-primary-info .tribe-events-list-event-title a { display: none; }Will this work for you? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!

MemberHi George and thanks for writing in!
That’s a really cool idea, though I’m afraid The Events Calendar doesn’t have this sort of feature. Folks can export events from the site and into their own personal calendar, but there are no group invites at the moment.
Sorry for the bad news but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHey Martin, and happy Friday!
I just checked out the site (looks nice, by the way!) and it looks like that semi-colon is coming from the theme or the content editor itself rather than the calendar.
Do you use the default events page template in Events > Settings > Display? If not, try switching that out and see if that makes a difference.
Let’s start there and see what we find. ๐
Cheers!
