    Hi Davis,

You can post to any of the forums here on this site with an active license to one of our premium licenses. That includes Event Tickets Plus.

I see you have an active license for Event Tickets Plus, so you are good to go. 🙂

It seems like the Event Ticket Plus uses WooCommerce, and then WooCommerce requires an additional premium plugin to accept those payments. Is that how it works?

Yes, you are absolutely correct. Event Ticket Plus allows you to create tickets that then get registered as Products in WooCommerce. Once a ticket has been added to the cart, WooCommerce handles the entire checkout process from there, including the payment. WooCommerce has an extension specifically for Authoorize.net right here, though I know it has a free payment gateway extension for Stripe as well a built-in free one for PayPal.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. And, if you have any additional questions, then I would encourage you to open a new thread in our Event Tickets Plus forum since we use this Pre-Sales forum for anyone with a purchasing question for our plugins.

    Cheers!
    Geoff

    Hey Kevin!

I just stumbled across the Simply Exclude plugin which might be a good alternative. It will allow you to specify specific post types to exclude from the search action.

    Will that work, by chance?

    Cheers!

Hi Maria and welcome to the forums! I hope you’ve been enjoying the plugins so far. 🙂

Good question. By chance, are you using the Avada theme? If so, it appears there are some customizations included in the theme that look like are preventing the dots in the calendar widget from displaying. You can confirm this by switching to another theme, like WordPress Twenty Sixteen and seeing if the dots appear there instead. For example, here are the dots on my test site.

If you see the dots when switching themes, then I would suggest reaching out to the Avada support team. They would be much more familiar with the customizations and be able to provide some solid guidance for brining the dots back.

also is there a way to get a third line on the event on the widget view.

Good question! This is definitely possible in the Event List widget settings, but takes some additional customization with the Muni Calendar widget. Here’s how to get started:

    • Make a copy of the single-event.php file. It is located at /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/views/widgets/modules/single-event.php
    • Make a new folder in your theme (or child theme) folder called tribe-events
    • Make a new folder in that one called pro
    • Make a new folder in that one called widgets
    • Make a new folder in that one called modules
    • Move the copied single-event.php file in that last folder

Now that the file is in your theme, you can modify it to suit your needs. In this case, add the additional information you would like and save your changes. 🙂

Will this help you get started? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Kevin,

Happy Monday and hope you had a great weekend!

You should be able to exclude specific post types from search using a function much like the one outlined in this post.

The two post types you want to do this for are:

    • tribe_organizer
    • tribe_venue

    Cheers!

    Hi Tac,

Long time, no see — hope you’re doing well!

That’s a great idea, though I’m afraid there is no setting to make the tickets mandatory when creating a new event. If that is a feature you’d like to see, it would be awesome if you could add it to our feature request forum so we can check it out and allow others to vote on it as well.

Sorry I don’t have a workaround for you here, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Hi Paul,

Happy Monday and I hope you had a great weekend!

Good question. Here are the plugins I would recommend:

    • The Events Calendar (free): This is our baseline plugin that makes all the others possible to use as well. 🙂
    • Events Calendar PRO: This adds premium features to The Events Calendar, including the recurring events you are looking for.
    • Event Tickets (free): This give you the ability to allow free registrations for events — you can also set a maximum number of registrations.

I’m afraid that none of our plugins will allow you to send email communications to attendees. However, if you add Event Tickets Plus to the mix, then that will give you an exportable list of attendees that you can use to integrate with an email marketing application, like MailChimp or Campaign Monitor.

I do also want to note one important caveat: at the moment, Event Tickets does not support the recurring events feature in Events Calendar PRO. That’s something we’re working on for a future release but, for now, any tickets created for a recurring event will be available on all the events in that series — so, in other words, a ticket sold on one instance will be sold on the other instances as well.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi Rusana, hope you had a great weekend!

Great questions. Community Events is a single plugin that specifically allows you to accept event submissions from your site visitors.

The Personal-level license means you can install Community Events on a single website — the one where you would expect to take event submissions. If you are looking to install Community Events on more than one website, then you would definitely want to consider one of the other licensing options.

If I were putting a community website together that sells tickets, then I would look into our Community Manager Bundle. It includes the following plugins:

    • Event Tickets Plus: One you have Event Tickets installed, Event Tickets Plus will allow you to sell tickets as products (using an ecommerce plugin like WooCommerce)
    • Community Events: This is the plugin that will allow you to accept event submissions to The Events Calendar.
    • Community Tickets: This plugin connects Event Tickets Plus to WooCommerce so that those submitting events to The Events Calendar can create and sell tickets to those events and you can split the payment with them.
    • Filter Bar: This is an additional plugin that makes it easier to search for events on your site.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi Davis, thanks for getting in touch!

Yes, if you have a coupon for a any of our premium plugins then you will still get support here in our forums. 🙂

It sounds like you already have a deal in hand, but thought I’d also share our new discounts page as another place to keep an eye open for current promotions.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

Hey Gareth, thanks for getting in touch — I had you had a great weekend. 🙂

Great question. It sounds like the only upgrade you really need is Event Tickets Plus. That will get you both the email confirmations and the attendee list management you are looking for.

It’s worth noting that Event Tickets Plus also allows you to sell tickets at a cost. If you plan on doing that at all, then you will certainly want to grab an ecommerce plugin, like WooCommerce, for accepting payments.

Are there any other features you are specifically looking for? It sounds like you are also looking into Events Calendar PRO and Facebook Events, so feel free to let me know if you have any questions about either of those and I’d be happy to answer them. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi Corrado, thanks for getting in touch!

Yes, Events Calendar PRO does indeed allow you to create recurring events and it’s absolutely possible to create an events that recurs every Sunday for an entire year. The recurring events feature is actually pretty flexible and allows you to create custom recurrences as well. Here’s a good overview of what’s possible.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

Hi Saif, hope you had a great weekend!

I’m afraid we do not have documentation on that specific customization. However, here are some instructions for overriding the template you need:

    • Make a copy of the list-widget.php file. It is located at /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/widgets/list-widget.php.
    • Make a new folder in your theme directory called tribe-events
    • Make a new folder in that one called widgets
    • Move your copied list-widget.php file in that last folder

Now that the template is in your theme, you can modify it to suit your needs. In this case, adding any markup for structured data that would help get picked up by search engines.

Sorry I don’t have more of a concrete solution for you, but will this at least help get you started? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

Sure thing! I went ahead and refunded the order and the funds should be back in your account in the next 5-10 business days.

One Multisite license will do for all five, but be aware that it will entitle to support and automatic plugin updates only to the network site that where the license is entered. If you’d like to activate support and auto-updates for all networks, then you’ll want one license for each network. 🙂

Does this help get you everything you need? Thanks a ton for following up on this and for using the plugins.

    Cheers,
    Geoff
