ParticipantI know that the 100% discount plugins have no support under the nonprofit program, but do 30% discounted plugins have the same restriction?

MemberHi Davis, thanks for getting in touch!
Yes, if you have a coupon for a any of our premium plugins then you will still get support here in our forums. 🙂
It sounds like you already have a deal in hand, but thought I’d also share our new discounts page as another place to keep an eye open for current promotions.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

ParticipantYou’re saying that I do “still get support here in our forums”, but I cannot post on the Event Tickets Plus support forums. My issue is that I don’t understand how to accept payments through the website using Authorize.net. It seems like the Event Ticket Plus uses WooCommerce, and then WooCommerce requires an additional premium plugin to accept those payments. Is that how it works?

MemberHi Davis,
You can post to any of the forums here on this site with an active license to one of our premium licenses. That includes Event Tickets Plus.
I see you have an active license for Event Tickets Plus, so you are good to go. 🙂
It seems like the Event Ticket Plus uses WooCommerce, and then WooCommerce requires an additional premium plugin to accept those payments. Is that how it works?
Yes, you are absolutely correct. Event Ticket Plus allows you to create tickets that then get registered as Products in WooCommerce. Once a ticket has been added to the cart, WooCommerce handles the entire checkout process from there, including the payment. WooCommerce has an extension specifically for Authoorize.net right here, though I know it has a free payment gateway extension for Stripe as well a built-in free one for PayPal.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. And, if you have any additional questions, then I would encourage you to open a new thread in our Event Tickets Plus forum since we use this Pre-Sales forum for anyone with a purchasing question for our plugins.
Cheers!

ParticipantI’ll have to check if I can post on premium support forums; I had tested after purchase and it said I should consider purchasing a license for support.
I still have two questions and a comment:
1. Does the non-profit discount apply to renewals as well?
2. Would we still receive security updates if we do not renew?
3. I understand now how the WooCommerce and Authorize.net plugin fit in, but I am a bit disappointed I didn’t get that information beforehand. Maybe I missed it, but I think I did more research than most people would. I would have expected at least a “you might need to purchase third-party plugins to accept payments for the Event Tickets”.
Thank you for your response.

MemberHey Davis, thanks for following up!
The nonprofit discount is an ongoing thing, meaning that you will not have to pay for a renewal each year. In fact, I see your license is valid through 2026, so you should be covered. 🙂
And, yes, as long as your license key is entered into the settings, you will receive automatic updates to the plugin when they are available.
3. I understand now how the WooCommerce and Authorize.net plugin fit in, but I am a bit disappointed I didn’t get that information beforehand.
I’m super sorry to hear this! We do have information on the Event Tickets Plus product page that talks about this at length, as well as a checklist of features that covers what’s included. Still, I know it’s easy to miss something, so if you have suggestions about what else we could be doing to communicate that better, we’d love to consider it to help others avoid the same level of disappointment moving forward.
Thanks,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
