MemberHi Ina,
Great question. There is a way to reverse the order of events in the calendar, but it takes a snippet in your functions.php file to make it happen. For example, here is a snippet that will reverse the order of past events specifically.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. π

MemberHi Bianca,
Thanks for getting in touch!
We’d be happy to help — but first, would you be willing to open a thread on our WordPress.org forum? We use this Pre-Sales channel to answer questions about purchasing our premium plugins but do a weekly support pass for the free plugin over there.
In the meantime, please note that the Month View will only allow you to navigate in the future until there are no upcoming events. So, in other words, if there are no events after December 2016, then the navigation will be hidden.
Cheers!

MemberRight on, thanks for following up Joseph!
Either the Business or the Multisite license level will do the trick. I would lean toward multisite simply because you can install it on the network level once and be done with it, as opposed to business where you would need to install the plugins for each network instance and then change that once you decide to upgrade. But still, either way works. π
Does this help clarify things a little more?
Cheers!

MemberHi Simon, thanks for reaching out! Hope you had a great weekend. π
Great question. There are definitely many functions in our documentation that are deprecated — we keep those around for folks who are using older versions of the plugin but they have no bearing on the latest versions.
For what it’s worth, our documentation is automatically updated with each release. That means everything you see there is definitely up to date.
If you had any questions about the right or best functions to use, that’s something we would definitely be happy to help with once you have your license. We’re here to support you and would be happy to.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. π

MemberHi Nichelle — hope you had a great weekend!
Excellent question. Neither Event Tickets nor Event Tickets PlusΒ include a donate button for purchasing tickets but, if you are using them with WooCommerce, it might be possible to use the Name Your Price extension. Though I haven’t tested it personally, it is supposed to allow your customers to set a price for the products you sell.
And, worst case, we do offer a full refund on all our products within 30 days of purchase. That would give you a good amount of time to test things out and make sure they all work together.
And, while the plugins also do not create fundraising pages for you, you can certainly add tickets to any page or post in WordPress. That means you can set up a fundraising page if you’d like and sell tickets directly on that page.
Oh, and one more thing! We do have a nonprofit program that could provide you with a free copy of Event Tickets Plus if you qualify — I’d highly encourage you to apply. π

Good question. Multisite licenses can be activated on a single multisite network. If you’re running a local version of the network on your computer (which is awesome!) then you will need to move the license between the local and live installations in order to activate automatic updates on each. Everything else, however, will work just fine.
Here’s an article that explains that in a little more detail, for your reference:

MemberHi Joshua — hope you had a great weekend!
Yes, Events Calendar PRO does indeed have a feature that allows you to display related events on the single event post. The feature will display up to three related events based on the category of the current event.
Will this work for you? Please let me know. π

MemberHi Karen and thanks for getting in touch!
Great question. The Events Calendar does not have a color legend at the moment. However, there is a free add-on called Category Colors that allows you to set a legend and color scheme for events based on the categories they are in:
It’s also worth noting that The Events Calendar uses a lot of CSS classes in the markup so you can change the appearance of specific events in your theme’s stylesheet. That’s another way to go about it as well.
Will this work for you? Please let me know. π

MemberHey Francisco, thanks for getting in touch and I hope you had a great weekend. π
Good question, but I’m afraid that events are unable to split themselves into multiple time ranges. The only workaround I can think of would be to create three events, one for the first part, one for the recess and one more for the last part of the class. Or, you can note the recess in the content description of the event if you’d prefer to keep it to a single event.
Sorry for the bad news, but does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,

Is there a block of code above that that provides the query for posts? That where the type of post is being called and will give us an idea of how events are being queried and whether any changes can be made. π
Thanks a ton!

MemberThanks for following up, Cynthia!
We made a couple of changes in the last version of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO, but nothing that would have had an impact on the save_post action. Here are the release notes for reference:

What versions were you updating from? Perhaps there were changes from earlier.
Thanks!
