MemberHey Hillis and thanks for getting in touch!
Yes, it sounds like Event Tickets Plus is a great fit for your site. It connects our free Event Tickets plugin with WooCommerce so that you can create and sell paid tickets for your events. And, just to clarify up front, both Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus need to be installed and activated together in order for everything to work together. π
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHey Tamas and welcome to the forums! Thanks so much for using Events Calendar PRO. π
Yes, you will need to purchase Filter Bar if you would like to use it on your site in additional to Events Calendar PRO. Both plugins have separate features and are sold separately. Here is a direct link to Filter Bar for you.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberGood to know, thanks for the heads up!
It is true that Event Tickets and WPML do not integrate well with one another at the moment. We’re working closely with the WPML team to build more compatibility down the road and hopefully that work will get released in an upcoming version if all goes well.
In the meantime, thanks for following up and definitely let us know if any other questions come up — we’d be happy to help. π
Cheers!

MemberHi Kendra,
Great questions!
We are actually in the process of building a feature that would allow you to embed full calendar views on any page or post using a shortcode and that should come out in Events Calendar PRO version 4.3 if all goes according to plan.
In the meantime, I’m afraid there is no easy way to embed full calendar views so that the calendar is both on the homepage and the main calendar page. Events Calendar PRO does indeed include several shortcodes that allow you to embed the calendar widgets (i.e. the mini calendar) on any page or post, so that may very well get you what you need for now, but I at least wanted to throw that out there.
And, yes, we actually have another plugin called Filter Bar that will add search filters to the calendar, including a filter to search events by distance.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. π
Cheers!

MemberHi Joe,
Thanks so much for getting in touch! I know a phone call can be great but I’m confident we can nail this together here in the forums. π
I look over your list of requirements. I think our products are a good fit, though there is one particular thing you mentioned that makes me a little hesitant:
Parent/Child events β Everything being offered at a given conference
Our products unfortunately do have have a parent-child relationship for events. In other words, one event is one event. We do have a feature to create relationships between recurring events, but the ability to file one event as a child of another is something non of the plugins currently support.
Everything else looks good to go though and this is the combo I would suggest:
- The Events Calendar (free) – This is our base plugin that creates a calendar and the ability for you to create, manage and display events on your site in a calendar format.
- Events Calendar PRO – This provides additional calendar views as well as other features such as custom event fields, recurring events and additional widgets to place on other pages and posts.
- Event Tickets (free) – This allows you to create free tickets for events and sets up the functionality for the next plugin.
- Event Tickets Plus – This connects Event Tickets to WooCommerce so you can create and sell paid tickets for events. It also allows you to create custom registration fields for attendees to fill out prior to making a purchase, and will email the tickets to the attendee with a QR code that can be scanned to check them in at the door.
- Filter Bar – This adds an additional set of filters to the calendar that visitors can use to narrow the list of results down to specific categories, tags, time of day, cost, and other variables.
You had also mentioned a few features that, while are not available in our products, can be found in other third party plugins:
- Suggested products – WooCommerce has an extension for cart up-sells and cross-sells.
- Ability to share on social media – We have a few recommendations for that
Does this sound like a good fit for you? I think the parent-child relationship of events could be a deal-breaker but, if it’s not, then hopefully the recommendations here will cover everything else. I’ll also add that we offer a full refund on all our products within 30 days of purchase in the event that something doesn’t work the way you had hoped.
Cheers!

MemberHi Lars, it’s been a while — hope you’re doing well!
Where exactly are you trying to move the additional field. On the single event post or some other screen?
Typically, moving fields around on the front end means using a template override, which I know you’re well familiar with. For example, if you’d like the additional fields in the meta detail area of the single eventΒ to be in a specific order, then you would remove the code block that inserts the additional fields automatically and manually call the fields in the order you’d like them to appear. For example:
$additional_fields = tribe_get_custom_fields(); echo $additional_fields['Community Field'];Will this help you get started? Please let me know. π
Cheers!
