    Hi Yetunde,

Thanks for getting in touch! Your question makes perfect sense.

That is correct: Events Calendar PRO does offer recurring events and Event Tickets Plus allows you to sell ticket for events.

However, if you create an event like French Market Class that repeats every Tuesday-Friday, then you will be unable to sell tickets for that recurring event.

Actually, to be totally clear, you can create tickets for that recurring event, but every ticket sold will be for all the events in that series instead of for each recurring instance individually. In other words, a ticket sold for the first French Market class will also be counted for the second French Market class and so on.

Does this help clarify things a bit more? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

Hello James and thanks for reaching out!

Great question — custom fields are not in the RSVP ticket email by default. I think it would be possible to add them in there by modifying the email template, but that would take a little bit of custom development since it’s unsupported by the Event Tickets Plus.

The confirmation email will only be sent to the person making the RSVP. However, if you were to create a free ticket and use WooCommerce with Event Tickets Plus, then WooCommerce will indeed allow you or another admin to receive a confirmation for each RSVP that has been made.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Dushan,

You can actually install The Events Calendar on any number of sites — it’s a free plugin.

Community Events is indeed a commercial plugin. You can still install it on any number of sites. There is no need to enter the license key on the development site since the license key is unnecessary for the plugin to work — it merely activates automatic updates for the plugin.

    Thanks!

Hi Melissa and thanks for following up!

The only functional difference between the licenses is the number of sites the plugin can be activated on:

    • Personal: 1 site
    • Business: 3 sites
    • Agency: 10 sites
    • Unlimited: as many sites as you’d like

You are seeing the error message because you have entered the the Personal license on more than one site, which is the maximum number of sites it can be activated on. If you upgrade to another license level then that will enable you to active the license on additional sites. The best package level for your client will be the one that matches the number of activations they need.

Does this help clarify things a bit? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

Oh shoot so sorry about that Pau!

Will you please try removing the first line from the snippet? That <?php code may not be necessary in the functions.php file.

    Thanks!

p.s. No hate on dreamweaver! In fact, the preview of the next release looks pretty sweet. 🙂

Thanks si much for following up!

Sorry the existing shortcodes aren’t what you’re looking for — however, I think you will really love the next version of Events Calendar PRO when it introduces full calendar shortcodes.

Did you have any other questions about shortcodes that I can help answer? Let me know and I’d be happy to!

Thanks Dushan! I did indeed get the information and it is helpful.

I’m not seeing any red flags right off the bat, but just to be absolutely sure and rule everything obvious out, I want to do a little more testing to see if the 500 error is happening because of conflicts with anything else that’s installed.

The next thing I would like to try here is creating a fresh test site — this will avoid any disruption to your live site and ensure that we’ve effectively got a “clean canvas” to work with.

    • Please install a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory (if you have a CPanel-type hosting account there will probably be a one-click install script to make this really easy)
    • Don’t install anything except The Events Calendar and Community Events. I see you have other third-party plugins related to The Events Calendar, but let’s leave those out for now.
    • Please also stick to a default theme — again, there’s no need to install anything else just yet!
    • Can you replicate the same problem?

If you find you can replicate the problem under these conditions it would be awesome if you could stop, let me know and share a link so I can take a look while the site is still running under default conditions.

    Thanks for your help!

Hey there, nice to see you again!

Great question. It sounds like you’re looking for a way to embed the calendar in any page or post. We’re actually in the process of working on a feature that would allow you to do that in Events Calendar PRO and I am expecting it to come out in our next major release, version 4.3, if all goes according to plan.

In the meantime, Events Calendar PRO does offer shortcodes to embed any of the calendar widgets included in the plugin but I’m afraid those are the only means for adding the calendar on another page or post at the moment.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

Hey Pau, nice to see you and I hope all is well .:)

We actually have a post that provides step-by-step instructions for adding the category of an event to the event title:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/add-category-prefix-to-event-titles/

Try using that and see if it at least helps get you started. 🙂
