GuestHello,
I saw your note about tickets pro not being set up for recurring events but I wanted to get some more clarification please. We are a school, selling classes online. We are looking for an event organizer that will be able to sync with our google calendar automatically as well as a means of repeating events, as the classes are always the same on any given day. Most classes are one day but some are multiple days. When you say that you don’t do tickets for recurring events does that mean that though you can create a recurring event like French Market Class every Tuesday-Friday, that you can’t sell spots for these through tickets pro?I hope my question is clear.
thanks

MemberHi Yetunde,
Thanks for getting in touch! Your question makes perfect sense.
That is correct: Events Calendar PRO does offer recurring events and Event Tickets Plus allows you to sell ticket for events.
However, if you create an event like French Market Class that repeats every Tuesday-Friday, then you will be unable to sell tickets for that recurring event.
Actually, to be totally clear, you can create tickets for that recurring event, but every ticket sold will be for all the events in that series instead of for each recurring instance individually. In other words, a ticket sold for the first French Market class will also be counted for the second French Market class and so on.
Does this help clarify things a bit more? Please let me know.
Thanks!

GuestHi Geoff
Thank you for the quick answer. Actually I am (probably being dense), but you confused me when you said that the ticket for the 1st French Market Class would also be counted for the second one. In what way do you mean?Say I’ve listed classes on October 1st, 2nd & 3rd & Sally books the class on October 1st. Do you mean the ticket sale count refers to all French Market Classes when you say it is also counted for the second one? Or do you mean she supposedly is booked in for all three classes. In which case, that is not good at all as each class is distinct and has its maximum number of available seats.

MemberHi Yetunde,
Thanks for following up and sorry for not being more clear!
You said perfectly:

That is correct. In an ideal world, the ticket sold for the October 1st class would only count for the October 1st event. However, it currently counts for all of the events in the series.
The only way around this for the time being is to set up each event individually instead of a recurring event.
Does this help make more sense? Let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

GuestYes it does answer the question. Sadly that would not work at all for us as that requires quite a lot of manual data entry of exactly the same information repeatedly. We would have 4 to 5 of the same for 52 weeks in the year. A pity that this feature doesn’t work otherwise.
Thanks for your assistance. Guess I’ll have to continue my search.

MemberWell, shoot, T’m sorry our plugins won’t be a good fit but I am really glad we were able to figure that out together before diving into a purchase — thanks a ton for reaching out and I hope you’ll consider our plugins down the road on future sites. 🙂
Cheers and have a great day!
