MemberHey Matt,
Great question! You are absolutely correct: Safari’s private browsing feature does indeed disable some basic functionality in Filter Bar.
This happens because Filter Bar is relies heavily on Javascript on form elements and private browsing tends to block a number of Javascript features in an attempt to be more secure. There are definitely going to be cases where private browsing prevents features on any website from properly functioning and this is a good example of it.
The best workaround for it is for the user to either disable private browsing when navigating the calendar, or configuring the private browsing settings to allow Javascript — both of which are dependent on the user rather than something that can be readily remedied on the plugin’s end of things.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi @carolrobidoux,
So sorry for the trouble here! Let’s take a look at this together and see what’ going on.
First off, would you be willing to re-activate the plugins momentarily, just long enough to get the System Information from Events > Help and paste it here for me as a private reply?
You can deactivate the plugins again right after that, but this will help me at least see what we’re working with and try to replicate the issue on my test site.
Thanks so much!

MemberHi Simon,
It absolutely does, great question. In other words, once events have been imported, they are all part of the same calendar and can exported together using the “Export Month’s Events” link on the front end.
Cheers!

MemberHey Andres, thanks for getting in touch!
Great question. And great layout. 🙂
I do want to note that The Events Calendar comes with a few layouts right out of the box:
- List View (events displayed in a simple list in chronological order)
- Month View (traditional calendar format)
Events Calendar PRO adds a few more layouts to the mix:
- Week View (all events in a given week in a horizontal layout)
- Day View (list all events on a given day
- Map View (displays events on a large map)
- Photo View (displays events in a tiled layout)
I’m afraid that neither plugin has a layout that is exactly like the one you provided.
That said, it is totally possible to either (1) customize any of the calendar layouts by overriding the template files with your own versions, or (2) create your own template views — events are simply a custom post type, so you can write a query for them in any custom template you create.
So, as you can see, that layout is possible but it will certainly take some custom development to get it exactly the way you want.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions and I’d be happy to help as best I can. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHello Alexandru,
Thanks for getting in touch and for checking out our plugins — I hope they’re a great fit for your site. 🙂
The Events Calendar is able to create, edit and manage events posts in a calendar format, but it will certainly look different than the layout you currently see on your site.
That said, templates in The Events Calendar are really flexible in the sense that you can replace any of the code in them with your own. There is a ton more information about that in our Themer’s Guide if you want to see what’s possible there.
It’s also worth noting that The Events Calendar is a free plugin, so it might be worth installing it to get an idea of how the layout looks and works with your site.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Esther,
First off, thanks for purchasing Event Aggregator! You’re one of the early adopters of this new product and I really appreciate your support. 🙂
The reason you are not seeing Event Aggregator in your downloads list is because it is not a download, but rather a service. In other words, it is already installed as long as The Events Calendar (4.3+) is installed.
To start using Event Aggregator, head to Events > Import and you will be able to start importing events from other sources, such as Facebook.
Let me know if you are not seeing the options to import for some reason and we can check that out together.
Thanks!

MemberHi Alyssa,
Oh geez, I hate it when that happens! I’ve actually worked on a few clients sites where that has happened and it’s super annoying.
In most cases I’ve seen, the problem is either that:
- The apostrophe is typed out in HTML (e.g. ’) in the spreadsheet being uploaded, or
- The apostrophe is a curly one (’) instead of a standard one (‘)
Will you please try replacing the apostrophe with a standard version to see if that makes a difference? I’m hoping that does the trick.
Thanks!

MemberHey there!
Great question. I’m afraid that The Events Calendar is designed to only show Event posts. The calendar itself is a built as a custom post type archive template that is only applicable to the tribe-events post type.
That said, it may (or is likely) possible to get other post types in there by writing a custom filter for the calendar query that includes other post types in the loop. While that level of custom development is something we are unable to support here in the forums, we do have a list of recommended developers who might be willing to help you get there.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHey Mats,
Yes! In fact, you can import events into specific categories as they are imported, then filter the calendar by category to show only events in a category.

MemberHey Matthew,
Sure thing! Definitely bummed to hear the plugin didn’t work out, but I went ahead and processed the refund for you and you should see the funds back in your account in the next 5-10 business days.
Defintely keep us in mind for future projects — we’d love to have you back!
Cheers,

MemberHello Sri.
That sounds like an awesome project!
I think The Events Calendar (free) and Events Calendar PRO would be a good fit here. The Events Calendar will provide the calendar format you’re looking for to display events. Events Calendar will extend the plugin further to provide shortcodes you can use to embed the calendar in other places on the site, like artist profile pages.
You can take all of this a little further and connect The Events Calendar with EDD by adding both Event Tickets (free) and Event Tickets Plus to the mix. That would allow you to create tickets for the concerts/gigs/etc. and sell them directly from the event post.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHello @leonid,
Thanks for getting in touch!
I totally hear ya. Sometimes pricing can be an obstacle, especially when you are looking for one specific feature in a bundled package.
I’m afraid the current price of $89 is the best deal we have going right now. We do run promotions and offer discounts from time-to-time and, when we do, you can find those here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/deals-coupons-discounts/
Sorry for the bad news, but does this at least help answer your question?
Thanks,

MemberHi Amy,
Thanks for following up and sorry for any confusion from my last reply.
You had Facebook Events but not Events Calendar PRO. That means you ought to renew your Facebook Events license if you want to continue importing events from Facebook into WordPress.
Here are detailed instructions on how to renew your Facebook Evetns license:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/renewing-your-license/Facebook Events is the only plugin you need to purchase/renew. The Events Calendar is a free plugin and is already installed on your site. Facebook Events adds the functionality you need to import events from Facebook into The Events Calendar.
I hope this helps clear things up but please do let me know if you have follow-up questions and I would be more than happy to help.
Thanks,
Geoff -
