GuestHi!
I would like ask some pre-sales questions. I know that my requirements are quite specific and therefore I would like to find out about some things.
I am attaching an image with an idea how I would like the calendar output to look approximately. Most important is mobile view for me.http://www.asartists.com/wp-content/uploads/Example.jpg
– this kind of list view is crucial;
– there are usually 1-3 events per day, days off are highlighted with different color;
– events are divided into different blocks (that belong together) which are shown with different colors (no need for too many colors);
– if you tap on an event, it opens event description (like 8 Dec), if you tap again, it closes;
MOST important:
– if you open the page, you should see current date on the top, but you must be able to scroll it forward and also backward;Would be fine if you could group different years. Sync with Google calendar would be good, but not crucial.
I would like to use this calendar with Avada theme.
Would someone let me know if all of this is possible or is it too crazy?
Best wishes,

MemberHey Andres, thanks for getting in touch!
Great question. And great layout. 🙂
I do want to note that The Events Calendar comes with a few layouts right out of the box:
- List View (events displayed in a simple list in chronological order)
- Month View (traditional calendar format)
Events Calendar PRO adds a few more layouts to the mix:
- Week View (all events in a given week in a horizontal layout)
- Day View (list all events on a given day
- Map View (displays events on a large map)
- Photo View (displays events in a tiled layout)
I’m afraid that neither plugin has a layout that is exactly like the one you provided.
That said, it is totally possible to either (1) customize any of the calendar layouts by overriding the template files with your own versions, or (2) create your own template views — events are simply a custom post type, so you can write a query for them in any custom template you create.
So, as you can see, that layout is possible but it will certainly take some custom development to get it exactly the way you want.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions and I’d be happy to help as best I can. 🙂
Cheers!

GuestHi Geoff!
Thanks for your reply.
I know that almost everything is possible. Generating custom template views needs quite good knowledge of php, which I do not have. What could be a very rough budget estimate if I order this from you?

MemberOoo, good question. I think the budget really depends on the rate of the developer you would be working with to help with those customizations.
We actually have a list of recommended developers who may be willing to help and they all come in at varying rates:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/
Note that none of these developers are part of Modern Tribe — they’re folks we’re familiar with who have done great work on custom calendar development and have made themselves available for work for those like you who would be interested in developing the plugins further.
Cheers!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
