MemberHi Nick
I have noticed the same things with several other users.
For the excerpt issue, you’ll want to reach out to Avada’s support staff.
A quick fix for now about the map issue is to add the following CSS code to your site. I like doing this lately in Appearance, Customize, Additional CSS.
.single-tribe_events .secondary .tribe-events-venue-map {
width: 100%;
}
Feel free to pass along that CSS to Avada’s support staff as well.
I hope you can get this fixed quickly.
Thanks,
CourtneyCourtney
MemberHi Sajid
Your license does have a while before it is due for renewal.
Did you walk through the steps on How to Move Your License Key?
What domain are you wanting to have the license active on?
Hopefully we can get this resolves soon.
Thanks,

MemberHi Lynn
This doesn’t sound like a normal experience. ? Are you saying that all widgets, not just those from The Events Calendar, are not able to be modified or edited? Â Or just widgets from The Events Calendar?
Have you disabled all other plugins and switched to a default WordPress theme, per Testing for Conflicts? Before I can assist much further, it’s really important that we know if this happens when no other plugins are active and if it happens with a default theme. Deactivating plugins will still allow a few default WordPress plugins to use for testing.
If we can’t resolve this, here are a few tips to help you customize the look your widgets further:
- Start by modifying what you can at Appearance » Customize » Widgets » The Events Calendar.
- Typically, don’t change the theme or plugin’s css files, they will be overwritten on updates. To avoid this, follow the steps outlined in Themer’s Guide
- Use overriding CSS files, or add CSS to your site using Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS.
- Use !important before a semicolon to override every css rule. It’s a brute force method, but works for quick fixes.
- Please check out this Customizing WordPress #2 – Using Chrome Developers Tools YouTube video in addition to our Using Chrome Developer Tools tutorial on how to easily make changes using CSS.
I’m hoping we can get this resolved soon.

MemberHi Lora
It is an option we have considered. Â It isn’t on our roadmap at this time, but we’d love to get some more votes on the suggestion at:
Is there anything else I can do to assist you?

MemberHi Dave
I’m sorry you are having this issue. Â Your sub-navigation menu isn’t displaying due to a theme conflict it seems.
Often we can provide code to help set your sub-nav menu by overriding the z-index. However, your theme nests it in a way that most menus don’t.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a quick fix for this one. I tried to search for Betheme z-index to see if anyone else ran into this issue.  As I’m not a paying customer, I can’t login to read the results that I found. However, it might help you. http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/16782/main-menu-z-index
Could you ask the theme developer for the CSS code override your sub-nav menu so that it displays over the page title and contents?
Let us know what they say.
Thanks,
CourtneyCourtney

MemberHi Matt,
I’m sorry this is still happening. Even after validating your license, you should still see this on the license settings page:
Thank you! You have enabled a valid license. It looks like you are using this license within a multisite network. If you have 11 or more subsites, want network-level management, and/or require automatic updates, you need to upgrade to a multisite license. Read more about license options.
There might be a notification at the top of the site. Â In the top right corner is an X to close the notification.
After closing it, are you still seeing the notification?
Keep me posted please.
Thanks,
CourtneyCourtney

MemberHi Kim
I definitely want to get this resolves quickly with you. Can you swap themes to one of the default WordPress themes, like Twenty Seventeen. This too is part of testing for conflicts. Try with a default theme, ET, ET+, and Events Calendar all active, and no other plugins active. Does the issue happen this way?
If it is resolved like this, then we know it’s a theme conflict.
I will ask our performance pros on the team about the long lag.
Let me know what you find with the theme test.
Thanks,
CourtneyCourtney
MemberHI Byor
It looks like you’ve discovered a bug. I’ve submitted it and flagged this thread. You will be notified as soon as an update fixes that.
Is there anything else I can help you with at this time?

MemberHi Jaime
The area in your screenshot is not covered by The Events Ticket plugin. Our plugin does not ask for a price/cost if the event is just an RSVP. We only ask for cost/price with Event Tickets Plus and an ecommerce plugin activated.
It looks to possibly be part of your theme. Could you reach out to their support and see if they have an option for you?
Let me know what they say.
Thanks,
CourtneyCourtney
MemberHello Ruben
At this time, we do limit our work to WordPress. In the event that we broaden our platform support, I’ll be sure you get notified about this.
Is there anything else I can do to help you at this time?
Thanks,

MemberHi Camilla
The first thing to check is in Testing for Conflicts. I’d suggest starting with just changing the theme. Does this same thing happen when you change to a default theme, such as Twenty Seventeen?
If it doesn’t happen in other themes, then I’d suggest asking Avada for support on this.
If it does happen elsewhere, then we can look further into the issue here.
Thanks,

MemberHello Kristian
Have you checked Event » Settings » General » Recurring event instances? You can select do only show the first instance, or turn that off if it was enabled.
The other thing that might work for you is an additional plugin we’ve created to list organizers: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/listing-venues-and-organizers/.
A final option might include this shortcode instead:
[tribe_events_list organizer="yes"}
However, I think that method would bump into the same recurring events possibly.
Let me know if any of these help you.
Thanks,
Courtney 🙂 -
