i dropped my old domain and license key

now on my new site, i try to setup with my license key which is valid till 2017 october but it wont take, please help.

also its on a temp domain for now, i will need to move it again later on down the road once i cut over.

Your license does have a while before it is due for renewal.

Did you walk through the steps on How to Move Your License Key?

What domain are you wanting to have the license active on?
