MemberIt’s okay to share your disappointment 🙂
Could you please explain how you envision this working? For example, if you import Event X from Facebook and that event is written in English, it will import/copy in English text. If you import Event Y from Facebook that’s written in German, it’ll import in German.
How would you expect our plugin, WPML, or anything else to import it as English if the source is German (and vice-versa)?

MemberThanks both of you for this update!

MemberThanks, Jack.
What is different about Quickmark app and could you provide a link to it to make sure we’re discussing the same thing?
Cliff
MemberYes, exactly what I was suggesting. Great job and thanks for the detailed update!
Cliff
MemberNo worries. I hope it works for you. Make sure to adapt the snippet for your ticket numbers.
Cliff
MemberYou can assign as many categories to an event as you want.
Are you asking how to programmatically assign an event to Highlights category whenever an event is in both Festivals and Music?
If yes, this should be possible via a PHP snippet, but we wouldn’t be able to provide you such a customization, per our Scope of Support / Terms.
If there’s a code snippet you’d like me to put some eyes on or something else I can help you with, please update this ticket or create a new ticket if it’s a separate issue.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

MemberHi, Zoe. Sorry you’re experiencing this, and thanks for these details.
You are correct that our forums do not allow uploading of PHP files.
So if you switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Sixteen or Twenty Seventeen (and do NOT have any template overrides for our plugin in place) does this issue still happen?
If yes, please provide me the steps I can take on my local testing site to see if I can recreate the issue.
If no, please check with your theme author to see about obtaining the latest version of their theme (that hopefully isn’t throwing any WP_DEBUG errors).
Cliff
MemberHi, Gregory.
Here’s a video from my local testing site running the Twenty Seventeen theme where those Display settings are working as expected: https://cl.ly/1z2h3p191n0G
In other words, I wasn’t able to recreate the issue.
I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Sixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode). That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberHi, Rachel.
Here’s an installable .zip file (install it at your Plugins screen) that adds two URLs:
- example.com/events/?ical=1&tribe_display=recently-published
- example.com/events/?ical=1&tribe_display=year
The first is useful when folks are trying to use the iCal importer to pull events from one website to another. It will contain any recently published or modified events. Note: It is subject to the postsperpage setting in WP-Admin > Events > Settings.
The second exports this year’s events (from January through December).
If preferable, there’s a code snippet to share just the events one year out from today. Let me know if this plugin works for you or if you want the code for exporting one year from today.
Cliff
MemberHi. Your theme or some conflicting plugin looks to be adding quite a few extra tags there. Here’s a screenshot of my List View with the Twenty Seventeen theme: https://cl.ly/163a3c342k3a
Please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Cliff
MemberHi, Stefan.
Are you referring to WPML?
If yes, our Event Aggregator doesn’t have any support for WPML to import a single iCal event, for example, into multiple languages.
If you don’t think I understood your question accurately, please provide me additional details.
Thank you.
Cliff
MemberHi, Mandy. I didn’t spot the issue with your tooltips, but I’m guessing it’s some sort of plugin or theme conflict.
We do not provide support for theme or plugin conflicts, per our Scope of Support / Terms.
If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your theme author, developer, or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.
