ParticipantHi there,
is there a way to highlight events or add them to a second category called “highlights” in order to make them stand out of a big number of events? I was panning to create an automated newsletter so if I could have a tag/category or some kind of highlight function to create a RSS feed containing only the highlights. Then I could easily automate the newsletter send outs. Thanks a lot in advance.
Cheers,

MemberHi, Chris.
I believe you’re requesting the same thing as one of our existing feature requests: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3762678-charge-for-event-submission-and-premium-featured-e
Please do add your vote there.
This allows us to gauge interest in this particular feature request, which helps us prioritize our development efforts.
I believe it’s scheduled to be released within a month or two (but no guarantees of “if” or “when”).
However, if you don’t want to wait for that functionality, yes you could do a category like you thought of. For example, the tribe-events-category-concert class would be added to a single event in Month View if it’s in your “Concert” category. That could then be targeted via CSS to be a different color.
I hope this information helps.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
thanks for your reply. So currently it is not possible to have one event added to 2 categories at the same time?
For example we have the category “Festivals” and we also have the category “Music”.
So if there is a Music Festival it should appear in both categories. This way I could also add a “Highlights” category and decide which events I want to highlight.Cheers,

MemberYou can assign as many categories to an event as you want.
Are you asking how to programmatically assign an event to Highlights category whenever an event is in both Festivals and Music?
If yes, this should be possible via a PHP snippet, but we wouldn’t be able to provide you such a customization, per our Scope of Support / Terms.
If there’s a code snippet you’d like me to put some eyes on or something else I can help you with, please update this ticket or create a new ticket if it’s a separate issue.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.
