ParticipantI chose The Event Calendar Pro in order to manage 2 different calendars in one single website : one public calendar and one private.
Using shortcodes, I can display both.
The issue I meet is that when user clicks on a event detail, he can see in the below zone the name of next and previous event and there appears in the public calendar the name of a private event. How can I fix that ?December 19, 2016 at 9:47 pm #1208013Cliff
MemberHi, Eric. Our plugin creates one master calendar, but you can create the appearance of multiple calendars by using Event Categories.
Examples:
- main/master calendar where all the site’s events appear: http://wpshindig.com/events/
- WP Meetups category calendar: http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wp-meetups/
- Learning category calendar: http://wpshindig.com/events/category/learning/
There are additional methods and documentation at our Can You Have Multiple Calendars? KB article.
You could also use WordPress’ native post visibility, like Private or Password Protected. Or there could possibly be some membership plugins that could integrate with custom post types that might work (I don’t know of any).
Please let me know if this clarifies things for you.

ParticipantThat is clear and very desappointing. I had that question before buying the pro version and i was answered that I could manage 2 separate calendars (one public and one private). Actually this is not the case : with the pro version, you can only display 2 calendars, but as long as the user clicks on the event detail, there is no more differences. In the examples you gave me, if I click on an event of the category “WP Meetup”, I can access to an event of the category “Learning” if it is the next event.
I regret to have bought the pro version then.
