I’m glad that worked for you; thanks for letting me know!

Hopefully less complexity will be good for managing your site overall šŸ™‚

Oh, and one of these Optimization KBs might be relevant for you as well.

Thanks so much for your thorough testing and notes, Steve!

Could you please clarify what you meant by setting up Google API — what testing or tool did you do/use?

I think their reply atĀ https://wordpress.org/support/topic/html-css-optimize-breaks-the-events-calendar-month-display/#post-9165247 would be the appropriate response from us as well — to compare before and after from using their plugin.Ā Please let me know how this goes for you.

    Thanks for the extra information.

On my testing site, I was able to load this week’s calendar at both /events/category/concert/week/ and /events/category/concert/week/2017-05-28 (with and without the date on the end)

Then I went to my Display tab settings and unchecked Week View. Then I tried reloading these 2 URLs and neither worked.

Therefore, this seems to be working as expected — and I’d guess operating the same on your site — except you’re saying such URLs are getting hit by Google… which leads me to believe Google’s likely following a link or you have such URLs in your XML or HTML sitemap… basically, Google doesn’t end up at a URL without a reason; it gets pointed there.

Is there anywhere on your sitemap that links here? If not, is there anything throughout your site that does?

Sorry if it wasn’t clear by my previous reply, but EAĀ does import the categories from the iCal file/specification.

However, you canĀ also assign a single category to all events in a single import.

As an example, if an iCal event has the “food, dinner” categories, both will get imported, but you can also manually assign one of your existing WordPress Event Categories, such as “Tech Events”. Therefore, once imported, it would have 3 Event Categories: food, dinner, Tech Events

Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

Regarding scheduled CSV imports, that functionality does not currently exist, butĀ I believe you’re requesting the same thing as one of our existing feature requests:Ā https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/17434264-add-csv-recurring-import-to-aggregator

Please do add your voteĀ there.

This allows us to gaugeĀ interest in this particularĀ feature request, which helps us prioritize our development efforts.

    Thank you.

Kevin, thanks for the detailed report. I’ll pass it on to our developers to see if they can confirm, but can you first tell me if you use this plugin as a regular plugin instead of a “must use” plugin, does it work and still have this conflict?

Regarding VIP, no our plugin is not available for WordPress VIP at this time.

I’m glad you’re all sorted now! Thanks for the info, too.

FYI:Ā Best practice for adding custom codeĀ (like to implement a PHP snippet to modifyĀ The Events Calendar) is to create a functionality plugin, unless it’s something specific to your theme, in which case best practice is to make sure you’re using a child theme<i>,</i>Ā then add the customization to yourĀ child theme’s functions.php file.

It’s never ideal to modify our plugins’ own files.

    I hope this information helps!

All that is made possible by the Filter Bar add-on, which I linked to previously.

If you’re interested, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

We definitely appreciate you asking, but we don’t have an official “sponsored development” approach to development like some others might (not saying it’s all bad, just not what we have in place).

Therefore, we typically recommend consulting with a developer to implement something custom like this; you couldĀ reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

For us to implement such functionality at this time, it’d likely be a big effort to strategically implement for all use cases.

However, for your single use case, it likely wouldn’t be as large of a lift.

Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

Thanks for these details (and sorry about the delayed reply).

As I’m sure you understand, deprecating it is saying it’s no longer supported. Are you trying to run WPEC alongside ET+ butĀ not use themĀ together? (FYI: It will eventually remove any and all support for WPEC.)

Do you haveĀ both WPEC and WooCommerce on this same site?

If WooCommerce is disabled, what page(s) are you able to see that PHP Fatal error at (so I can try to reproduce on my testing site)?
