ParticipantSitnol,
Can you confirm that the venue for the August 7th is published and not in a ‘draft’ state?August 6, 2013 at 9:12 am in reply to: Community Events (User Submit Events Not Working) with MAP VIEW #59085Casey
ParticipantSitnol,
Can you try something for me? Try creating a new event on the back-end using the same venue as the ‘August 7th’ event. If that succeeds, then we’ll know it’s an issue with submitting events from the front-end. Just let me know what you find. Thanks!August 6, 2013 at 7:23 am in reply to: Community Events (User Submit Events Not Working) with MAP VIEW #59055Casey
ParticipantSitnol,
Thanks for reaching out! My first thought is that these events are not showing up because an Admin has to approve them first. If you’d like for Submitted Events to be published as soon as they’re submitted, then you’ll need to go change this setting to ‘Published’: http://d.pr/i/Or42Give that a shot and let me know if that resolves your issue. Thanks!

ParticipantKaren,
Try this one more time, and if you’re still having issues, you can send me a WordPress login and I’ll take a look.Casey
ParticipantKaren,
Can you try uninstalling all Tribe plugins and re-installing? I have a feeling that your installation of Events Calendar/PRO might be corrupted somehow. Give that a try and let me know if you’re still having the same issue.Casey
ParticipantBen,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry you’re having this issue. It sounds like you already have Community Events installed, or a previous installation never completed. Can you try a couple of things for me?First, from the Administrative Dashboard, please go to ‘Plugins->Installed Plugins’ and see if Community Events is in the list of installed plugins there. If so, check the box and select activate.
Secondly, if Community is not showing up under your plugins there, you’ll need to go in and manually delete that folder. You can do this via FTP or by logging into your Hosting Control Panel. After deleting this folder, please try re-installing the plugin.
After trying those options, please let me know if you’re still unable to get the plugin installed. Thanks!

ParticipantCarl,
Thanks for reaching out! If you want to customize the Event Submission form, you’ll just need to perform a Template Override by copying ‘form.php’ from ‘wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/views’ to ‘wp-content/themes/YOUR_THEME/tribe-events/community’.I hope that helps! Just let me know if you have further questions. Thanks!
