    Hello, I’d like to know how to omit the country drop down list and set a default Province to Ontario. As I’m in Canada, I only want Provinces to be included in the drop down list.

    Hi DS,

    Thanks for getting in touch. You can’t get rid of the country dropdown completely (at least, not without custom coding) but you can have Canada set as the default and the only option, so it is always listed and essentially, the dropdown is moot (for example, if you clicked the dropdown you’d just see this: http://d.pr/i/RP1I). Then the user can fill in the City and Province text fields. The default country is available along with other default content in Events Calendar PRO.

    Would that work for you? Or are you interested in maybe doing some customization to have a Province dropdown instead?

    Hi Leah,

    Yes, I’d like to make Canada the default country and similarly, I’d like to have only Toronto, and Ontario as city and province defaults. Can you please point me to the file(s) I need to make the php or html edits?

    Hi Dipesh,

    To make Canada the default country simply login, visit Events > Settings > Default Content and set things up there. Note that right now some default fields, such as the city, may not work as expected.

    That’s a known bug with a fix in the works, I believe, so you could definitely set it up anyway and then await the next update: we’re likely to have a further release to catch some bugs like this in approximately a weeks time, if all goes to plan.
