    dancepapi,
    I’m so sorry that I’m so late in replying here! Somehow your thread got lost in my queue, but thanks for being patient. πŸ™

    Regarding your issue of duplicates, can you try something for me? Go into your main events listing page, and then click ‘Clear’ button in the filters area (screenshot). We’ve had some users report that this solved the problem for them, and I wanted to see if it helps to clear up your issue.

    Give that a try and let me know what you discover. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    immeemz,
    I’m seeing the same issue locally, however this appears to only be happening when events are submitted as a draft. If you change your settings to “Pending Review” or “Published” then it appears that everything is getting saved correctly (screenshot). Give that a try and see if it solves the issue for you as a workaround. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    immeemz,
    I wasn’t able to replicate the date issue you’re having in my local environment, but I was able to determine that the categories were stripped out of the Event Submission. I’m going to submit a ticket to one of our developers to investigate further. I’ll let you know here when I have more information. Thanks for your patience!

    Thanks! πŸ™‚

    Karen,
    Regarding your CSS overrides, you might need to update your styling to reflect changes in 3.5, as your old style overrides might no longer work with the new version.

    Regarding your PHP overrides, can you just try putting in some test text to see if the override file is being displayed? Then, if you test text is displayed when viewing ‘Month View,’ then you can narrow the issue down to your specific PHP. Otherwise, we can troubleshoot further.

    Give that a try and let me know if you need further help. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    Jeff,
    Thanks for getting in touch! You should be able to achieve this by doing the following:

    • Install a third-party plugin to manage user roles/capabilities. (My personal favorite is the Members plugin).
    • After installing and activating the Members plugin, create a new role (Users->Roles)
    • Give your new role the following capabilities: http://grab.by/w3le
    • Assigned the desired users to your newly created role

    That should be it! Users in this new role will have FULL access to edit, create, and delete events in your calendar, so be careful who you give this access to.

    Give that a shot and let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    Sean,
    Thanks for getting in touch! Sorry for the confusion! You should just be able to put your Filter Bar Override styles into tribe-events.css, since that stylesheet is enqueued whenever the filter bar is being displayed. Give that a shot and let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    calmcomputing,
    Give this CSS a try instead and see if it does the trick:

    body .datepicker {
    z-index: 10000 !important;
    }

    Thanks! πŸ™‚

    I just wanted to follow up and see if you’re all set here or if you still have further questions. Just let me know if you have further questions or if I should go ahead and close out this thread. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    wemb45 & communityanswers,
    Could you both please create separate threads for your issues, since they may have different causes? This will help us to ensure that you get the best help. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    immeemz,
    Can you try deactivating all other plugins to see if that resolves the issue? If so, then try reactivating them one-by-one to determine if another plugin is the culprit. Give that a try and let me know what you discover. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    bmirtoronto,
    Thanks for getting in touch! This is by far the easiest thread I’ve worked on today. πŸ˜€ Since it looks like you’re all set, I’m going to mark this thread “Answered” and close it out, but feel free to start a new thread if you have further questions.

    By the way, if you have a minute or two, we would love it if you’d write a few words for us here: http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/the-events-calendar?filter=5

    Thanks in advance. πŸ™‚

    Cheers,

    karen,
    Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. Have you updated your template overrides after updating to version 3.5.1? We’ve made several significant changes to the template files and CSS files, and as such, you’ll need to update your overrides to make sure they work correctly after updating.

    Give that a try and let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    annarosa,
    Thanks for getting in touch! Unfortunately, we can’t help you with such a general request for customization, but you should be able to determine what style to override by first inspecting them in your browser. In Chrome, you can use the developer tools to inspect the styles by right-clicking and selecting ‘Inspect Element.’ Then you should be able to use the same selectors in your CSS to override the styles as you wish.

    Give that a try and see if gets you started in the right direction. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    amandathepanda,
    Thanks for reaching out. The Events Category archive uses the ‘Default View’ option (screenshot) in ‘Events->Settings->Display’ to determine how to display your events. So, if you set your default view to ‘List’ then you should be able to achieve your desired effect. Give that a try and let me know if it does the trick. Thanks! πŸ™‚
