ParticipantI have setup overrides in the tribe-events folder in my theme. the widget-calendar.css seems to work just fine. I am having issues with the Full calendar. No matter what changes I make they do not update. I have tried it within the plugin as well and no matter what I do the changes do not seem to take. I had this all setup in 3.4 but the css files do not seem to port over to 3.5.
Seems like it should work, if the widget calendar css works. no?April 14, 2014 at 8:43 pm #132756Casey
Participantkaren,
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. Have you updated your template overrides after updating to version 3.5.1? We’ve made several significant changes to the template files and CSS files, and as such, you’ll need to update your overrides to make sure they work correctly after updating.Give that a try and let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! 🙂

Participantyes, Casey. I have deleted all the CSS in my theme page and put in a directory tribe-events/pro and tribe-events/month to test out the Abbreviations on the days of the week. To tribe-events I added the tribe-events-full.css with changes to the colors as I had in previous versions. To tribe-events/pro I added widget-calendar.css. To tribe-events/month I added loop-grid.php and made the changes to abbreviate the months. Or so I thought. The only one that works is the widget-calendar. What have I got wrong here? thanks for your help. I can let you into my test site if you wish.

ParticipantKaren,
Regarding your CSS overrides, you might need to update your styling to reflect changes in 3.5, as your old style overrides might no longer work with the new version.Regarding your PHP overrides, can you just try putting in some test text to see if the override file is being displayed? Then, if you test text is displayed when viewing ‘Month View,’ then you can narrow the issue down to your specific PHP. Otherwise, we can troubleshoot further.
Give that a try and let me know if you need further help. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantCasey, I put the WHOLE new file tribe-events-full.css into the tribe-events folder and made changes to it. Nothing. Is this the one I am suppose to be using IF I am using full styles?
2. Not sure where to put test text but I will try.April 17, 2014 at 6:53 am #134983Casey
ParticipantKaren,
I’m so sorry for the misunderstanding here. I incorrectly assumed that you were using tribe-events.css in your overrides directory, but your latest message clears things up for me. 🙂 Go ahead and try to rename your style overrides CSS file to ‘tribe-events.css’ and that should resolve the issue for you.It looks like you might have already figured this out, since I’m seeing the style overrides on your site now. Again, so sorry for the misunderstanding here, and let me know if I can help further. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantHI Casey, No worries. you are probably looking at my live site which is waiting for us to figure this out. If you would like to look at the test site let me know. I need to put in an IP for you and update your username / password.
What I don’t get is: WIDGETS CALENDAR works, but tribe-events.css and loop-grid to change to abbreviations doesn’t seem to be taking. By all rights, it should work. I am sure it is something I did, some caching issue or who knows. I might just update the live site and see what happens.
Go with Grey for a while. 😉April 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm #135539Casey
ParticipantOk, thanks for the update. Just let us know if you need further help here. Thanks! 🙂
