    Hi,

Thanks for Purchasing Pro! I can help figure this out with you.

So only the first instance of a recurring event is showing in Week View, correct?

    What is your setting here:

Events > Settings > General Tab > “Recurring event instances” Is that checked? If so does unchecking and saving that cause the all the events to show?

Let me know and we can go from here.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins. I can answer your question.

The Event List Shortcode just displays a list of events and not a single event.

Event Rocket has a shortcode that can work I believe.

    You can try this out:

    [event_embed id=’1881′]

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Thanks for sharing the coding.

I already was able to forward it to someone else looking for this feature.

    Thanks again for sharing.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the interest in our plugin. Unfortunately, it is only a WordPress plugin.

If you think that is something you would like us to create I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.

    You’re Welcome.

We had another thread yesterday asking for the same feature. His solution was to create a custom taxonomy and add that as a filter.

You can see his work here:

Adding custom filters to filter bar

That may get you started on what you are looking for.

    Cheers

    Hi,

It is possible to hide categories from the main event views, but not a feature we have out of the box so it would require you to add customization to the query for every view.

The plugin does create a Category View for each Event Category with the main views of month, list, map, etc…

For example if you have an event category of Lettuce the url is this:

    yoursite.com/events/category/lettuce/

So that is one way to show only events from one category.

You could disable the main views that show all the events with some php and then just give out the category view links.

    Cheers

    Hi Sean,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

    I can help out here.

It sounds like you are looking for the features of Community Events.

You can create users and then using Community Events they would be able to create their own events and edit those and come back to edit those all on the front end.

Those users would only be able to edit their own events.

You can see an overview of all the settings and how to setup in our New User Primer:

    New User Primer: Community Events

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for trying out our plugin.

With the Events Calendar have you tried setting the Events to Private?

They should then only show if you are a logged in to the site.

If you are looking more then that it could be possible through customization.

We maybe to help get you started on something, but for the most part that is beyond the support we can provide.

We do have this themer’s guide to help changing templates:

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi,

We are supportive of customizations as much as possible, but for the most part they are beyond the support we can provide. I believe that is typical for all premium plugins.

With the Filter Bar we are not trying to prevent customizations or make it hard, but we also could do better to create some documentation to help with these customizations.

It is an advanced topic and requires solid php skills to do either way.

I am glad you found some coding to use as a base for this.

I am noting this as well to see what I can do to improve the documentation on this and provide a solid tutorial for people to use.

    Good luck on your project.

    Cheers

    Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our plugins. I can try to help out.

We can get you close to what you are looking for, but do not have features built in to only show fields for admins.

You could easily wrap sections of the event information with the current_user_can WordPress function to show what you would like only to admins.

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/current_user_can

And all the event templates you can move to your theme to edit with that function and not lose the changes on updates following our themer’s guide:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

    Cheers

    Hi Torsten,

Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.

I believe we fixed this issue in 3.10 and looking at our bug ticket that does seem to be the case.

Can you please update to 3.10 for both the Events Calendar and Community Events and see if that resolves the issue.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Ok that make sense then.

It looks like the bb2_screener query string is coming from a Bad Behavior Anyi-Spam Plugin.

It should be ip address as well in the url and did it wil 3.9 active.

Not sure why that plugin is doing that though.

We will update this thread once we have a fix for the Category and Ajax.

    Thanks
