MemberHi acmt85,
As Leah suggested I’m going to move this across to the Events Calendar PRO forum as this is really an issue with the operation of The Events Calendar, rather than WooTickets itself. The URL for the thread will remain the same, however.
Can you confirm if you have a static front page (ie, Front Page Displays in Settings > Reading is set to show a specified static page)? If so you may unfortunately be running up against a known bug, in which case it would definitely be useful to know what theme you are using.

MemberHi Emma,
That is indeed by design and follows from bug reports by other users of the opposite behaviour – where tickets were repeatedly sent out when an order was moved from and back to a status of completed.
Can I ask why you want this particular behaviour (as that may help guide future development of WooTickets)?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi guys, apologies first and foremost for the delay.
The release of The Events Calendar 3.0 – and of related plugins such as WooTickets 3.0 – has caused a surge in support requests and we have unfortunately been a little overstretched.
Tim: let’s deal with your issue first and foremost. Can you confirm which web browser you are using? Some users have reported an issue with Google Chrome, for instance, and switching to a different browser has provided them with a temporary workaround.
If you find that’s the case please let us know (and please also confirm if it was indeed Chrome that was problematic here) as that will help us push out a fix as soon as possible.
Alternatively, you could also try the same troubleshooting process you outlined in your initial post – but additionally switch to a default, unmodified copy of Twenty Twelve – just in case this is due to a conflict stemming from your theme, as that is also a possibility.
Christoph: there are some outstanding issues with WPML and our own suite of plugins. What you are describing is unfortunate and I will take note of it but unfortunately there is not a great deal we can offer up in terms of helping with WPML compatibility.
We do however appreciate that WPML is a very popular plugin and we plan to investigate options here in the future.
Djpollitt: definitely feel free to monitor this thread as we work through the problem with Tim, to avoid confusion though please feel free to create your own thread (should you see nothing helpful in this one as the issue progresses in the course of the week).
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Tony! Just to chip in here: that is expected in most cases – tickets use a virtual product type by default now since that is the closest and best model to what’s actually happening, however this in itself will not necessarily mean that orders are moved immediately to a status of complete (nor should it). The ordering process still follows the normal pattern of all WooCommerce orders.
In addition to Leah’s advice you could consider trying out/adapting one of the various workarounds in the forum for this or else contact the WooThemes support crew for a definitive “fix” – based on what you are saying, however, I wouldn’t say this is a bug so much as just normal operating behaviour for WooCommerce (which, since that’s a pretty flexible plugin, you can change – but we are not the best support channel to guide you through that).

MemberHi Panamerik,
I visited the URL you provided and located a ticketed event; the add to cart button seemed to be present and functioned as expected.
Can you confirm if there is a specific event that is a problem or else if this is now resolved?

MemberHi Troy – thanks for the feedback. Were you able to determine that it is definitely your theme (by temporarily switching to Twenty Twelve, for instance)?
Barry
MemberExcellent!
Barry
MemberGreat work Andy π – dahowlett so you have a couple of approaches here that you can take advantage of. Are there any other points that you raised still in need of attention?
Barry
MemberHi duvaldemocrats,
Because I don’t want this thread to be derailed from helping zavastoronto (who posted originally) and also because it can be confusing to have lots of voices in here with different problems and at different stages of the troubleshooting process, as it were, can I ask you to create a new thread about your specific problem?
One of the team will then be happy to help π
Barry
MemberGreat that you’re sorted – I’ll go ahead and close this thread in that case and, of course, feel free to create new ones as needed π

MemberOK. I can’t replicate this with an unmodified copy of Twenty Twelve with only our plugins running – the page title of /events/ is Upcoming Events | Site Name or Events for [MONTH] [YEAR] | Site Name (depending on the default view, of course).
Is there anything else you can share that might shed some light on why your installation isn’t behaving like this? Did you have any other plugins running besides our own when you switched to Twenty Twelve?
Barry
MemberIt’s difficult to say since I don’t know how your slider works … that said, we did just uncover a minor bug with our tag implementation (our reference #22151) which is scheduled to be fixed in v3.0.3 – yet I don’t think that would cause this problem.
Have you touched base with the author of the slider? Can you ask if it integrates with other custom post types that also use the post tag taxonomy?

MemberOK, so regarding removal of the end time first of all, please familiarize yourself with our Themer’s Guide to get some of the relevant background:
https://tri.be/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
Basically though you would copy this file:
plugins/events-calendar-pro/views/widgets/list-widget.php
And place a copy within a subdirectory (you may need to create these) within your theme directory, like so:
themes/YOUR_THEME/tribe-events/widgets/list-widget.php
Then customize it to suit. 0Here’s an example where the end date is removed that you could use in your custom version of list-widget.php.
Does that help?
Barry
MemberFeel free to re-use the same title if that’s what makes sense for your problem π
Timothy: are you still in need of assistance here?
Barry
MemberHi Karen, I’m afraid I can’t offer any advice on this one but we can certainly keep this thread open in case Neil or anyone else can chip in with advice π
