MemberHi mastafu,
That’s strange: it certainly seems to work for me with TEC/ECp 3.2 and WP 3.7.1 – can you confirm if this problem also persisted with a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi nicolapenacultural – can you point me to a URL where I can see this? I visited a few pages at the URL you provided when you opened the ticket, but couldn’t actually locate an example of the events list widget.
Thanks!

MemberIf you feel we’ve let you down then that’s a shame and I’m sorry – because we absolutely appreciate your support. That said, I don’t feel it’s fair to say we offer what amounts to no support: I took a good look at your site and based on what I saw, coupled with your own feedback, it seemed reasonable to assume that something in the theme – a polyfill script perhaps – wasn’t behaving as expected.
The suggestion to contact and work with your theme vendor was made because I felt that was likely to offer you the quickest path to resolution. After all:
I figured you guys would know your code better than me.
Right, but what we don’t know is your theme’s code and that code is also likely to be highly relevant here. It’s also just one theme out of many and the reality is we will never have intimate knowledge of more than a handful across the team. Again, I’m sorry you feel we let you down – but given the particulars of the situation and of course the fact that our support resources are not infinite I’m not sure how much more we could reasonably deliver here.

MemberHi tgedistribution,
This is indeed the expected behaviour and so it sounds like it is simply working as designed.
As with most aspects of the plugin though it can be customized: our Themer’s Guide, Technical Docs and Tutorials (linked to under Useful Resources over on the right) can give you some idea of how you might workaround this if you’re happy to do some coding – and we’d certainly be open to any feature request you make along these lines.
Thanks!

MemberGreat! There’s not too much more we can do for you here (besides noting that, so far as we’re aware, the next release of WooCommerce Subscriptions is very likely to bake in a solution) and I’ll go ahead and close this thread.
Thanks for your patience and support 🙂
Barry
MemberOk – I mean it certainly looks like quite a striking theme and I can understand your reluctance to drop it. That said, completing those steps – whether on your live site or a test site – so we can be sure the conflict is with the theme (it may not be) would be useful information.
One thing I do notice is that the calendar (at your /events/ URL) is actually loading and has been rendered, but your theme’s unique structure means it just isn’t visible. You also seem to be using the default events template – that may be a factor here and so it could be worth changing to the default page template and seeing if that helps here (via the Events → Settings → Display admin screen).
It looks like a sufficiently unusual theme however that it may be best to seek support from its author for assistance with this.
Barry
MemberHi mickdaly – do you mean it doesn’t show in a particular view? Can you see the event if you visit the actual single event URL (if so can you share it with us)?
I do appreciate you taking the time to deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default, unmodified theme, too. Did that impact on the problem at all?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi creativebridge: I don’t believe so – it may be there is an existing plugin out there that you could leverage to save time developing something, though?

MemberHi Jose,
If both domains are completely distinct WordPress installations and/or live on different servers then you’d need to figure out a means of pushing the data out from one to the other.
However, I’m afraid this isn’t something we can help with beyond perhaps offering you a list of freelancers should you be in need of someone to work with here.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberCurrently there is no way of doing this that is ‘baked in’ to the calendar – you’re more than welcome to post a feature request, though – but beyond that you would need to devise a solution that works well for your own circumstances.
One approach for instance might be to adapt the calendar template (see our Themer’s Guide for details) and maintain a list of any recurring events that have already been rendered – then ignore future instances.

MemberThis is indeed a problem with WooCommerce Subscriptions and I’d encourage you to post a request for this to be addressed on their forum (as it’s not something we can or should really change in our code). In the meantime though many users have had success by adding this snippet by our developer Kyle to their theme’s functions.php file, if you want to give that a try 🙂

MemberGood question africaatlanta, if you can bear with us a little longer I’ll make enquiries about this and update you as quickly as I can.

MemberHi lamagia,
Right now there are no settings to facilitate this sort of change. We do have an issue logged for this though and are considering a change that will make sure it respects the WordPress date/time settings in this regard.
For the time being, unfortunately, there’s not much else I can suggest.

MemberHi echristoperj,
That’s very odd and I’m worried there’s a deeper problem than something at WordPress/plugin level. That said, let’s stop and take a look at things.
It sounds like you’ve tried most of our basic troubleshooting steps, but I’d like to be certain – have you tried deactivating all other plugins and at the same time did you switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve? If so did this impact on the problem?
Above and beyond that can you visit the Events → Help admin screen and copy the contents of the System Information box and post it here?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi jussibr,
Apologies for the delay. Would something like this snippet get you a little closer? You would basically drop it in to your theme’s functions.php file – it should then make each link read, “Visit website.”
Hope it helps!
