    Hi newmusicworld –

Apologies for any confusion however I may have confused a related map/location search issue with searching by country specifically. In this case, I’d definitely recommend following Leah’s advice and posting on our UserVoice page.

Thanks and sorry again for the mix-up.

    Hi Polly,

I’m not sure I can see or understand the problem – if I visit http://www.horseconnectioncenter.com/events/ I see a populated month view, however I’m unsure what post I’m expected to see below the calendar and why it would be there – if you can explain a little more about this that would be great.

    Thanks!

    Hi jazzjamm,

I’m not sure I can replicate this: can you link to a live example? Have you also tried deactivating all other plugins and reverting to a default, unmodified theme and does the same thing still occur under those conditions?

If you could also post your System Information (from Events > Help) that would be great 🙂

Hi masspeaceaction, it works well for me when working with a test site.

Can you confirm if you have tried deactivating all other plugins and reverting to a default, unmodified theme – and were you then able to obtain an iCal file that could be imported?

    Hi Briston,

Basically looks sound in concept to me so if it isn’t returning the expected results in your case you would need to A) ensure your PHP datetime settings are accurate B) confirm what is being passed in to the function (strtotime() in particular only accepts a limited range of date formats so the value of $date_to_check is worth a close look) and C) consider the context it is being used in.

Unfortunately based on the snippet you shared alone it’s not possible to tell you much more – plus we’re really in the realms of custom development here and we will ultimately have to let you figure out the details – and so I’ll go ahead and close this thread.

    Good luck!

OK, thanks – so I’m seeing three pinmarkers – two in the Glasgow area, broadly speaking, and one up in Aberdeen – when I visit map view. Looking through the events listed below, this seems to correspond to the venues for the listed events.

Can you clarify what’s missing (bearing in mind you won’t see venues for which no upcoming events are listed)?

    Thanks!

OK, so there are a few ways in which you can do things like this – dropping a snippet like this one into your theme’s functions.php file is one possibility.

    Hope that helps!

OK, so sticking with the initial issue:

I do appreciate you tried deactivating all other plugins – can you confirm if at the same time you tried reverting to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve? If so did that impact on the issue at all?

It would also be awesome if you could copy the contents of the System Information box on the Events > Help admin screen.

Last but not least, are you aware of any caching plugins that are in use (even if you believe you have tried deactivating them – simply because their effects can persist after deactivation) or might you be on a hosting platform such as WP Engine which has an integral caching layer?

    Thanks!

Hi Denise, further changes in this regard are still under consideration while the team figures out the full ramifications of any change – it’s not quite as simple as it may seem on the surface and we need to be careful that we don’t do something which seems like a correction for one group of users but causes issues for another group.

For that reason I’m afraid there’s not much more we can offer you right at this point – except to say it’s on the radar and solutions are actively being discussed.

Sorry we can’t do more for you in the short-term – but we do appreciate your continued support and patience while we look into this.

Thanks Katarina – that was a bit of a long shot in honesty and Kelly’s principle comment still stands:

This is just a note to let you know that we didn’t get a chance to look at your issue for our maintenance release this time around.

Again, it is on our radar but it may need to wait until the next or next, next release. Since at this point there isn’t a great deal more we can offer I’ll go ahead and close this thread.

Thanks for your continued patience and support 🙂

Upgrading to 3.2 is a good idea – note that you would need to update both the core The Events Calendar plugin and Events Calendar PRO (so they would both need to be at version 3.2). Is that a possibility here?

Hi I deactivated all of the plugins and I reverted to a default theme, the calendar did not show on the default theme at all.

To be clear, you would disable all other plugins but not The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO – is that what you did here?

    Thanks!

Christopher: I think we might have had something of a misunderstanding here. By “newsfeed” are you referring to the RSS feed? If so, that is unaffected by the include events in main blog loop setting.

Thank you very much for posting back with that update, creativecollab – much appreciated 🙂

Does this indeed fix things for everyone else here (with respect to this specific problem)?

    Hi nathanbaldwin,

I do apologize for the further delay: we were only operating at half capacity yesterday (as it was Veteran’s Day/Remembrance Day, depending on your locale) and couldn’t provide normal coverage.

Having taken a look at Ultimatum this is clearly a theme that does things differently. As with a couple of other somewhat atypical theme frameworks I suspect this is one that, on a practical level, we simply cannot support – that’s not to say integration isn’t possible, just that it isn’t something we will be able to assist with.

It may be that the best path forward then is to seek the assistance of a WordPress developer who is intimately familiar with Ultimatum and take things from there.

Sorry we can’t do more on this occasion.

Hi Jason and Johannes: I can see the same thing and this is on our bug tracker as a high priority – so we’ll do our best to address it as quickly as we can.

Thanks for your patience in the meantime and apologies once again for the inconvenience.
