ParticipantI have a couple of issues I am working through at the moment.
First, I updated the Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO plug-in to 3.2 but the “This event has passed” still appears when an individual event is clicked.
Second, there are no drop down options visible in the “View As” box.
Your help/suggestions would be most appreciated! By the way, I recently took responsibility for the site and so I am a newbie. My skills are growing but I have got a ways to go! Thank you!November 11, 2013 at 7:54 pm #75722Barry
MemberCan you confirm which URL I should use to see this? Although I could locate a calendar at the URL you provided when you opened this thread it did not seem to be one that is generated by our plugin.
Thanks!

MemberOK, so sticking with the initial issue:
I do appreciate you tried deactivating all other plugins – can you confirm if at the same time you tried reverting to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve? If so did that impact on the issue at all?
It would also be awesome if you could copy the contents of the System Information box on the Events > Help admin screen.
Last but not least, are you aware of any caching plugins that are in use (even if you believe you have tried deactivating them – simply because their effects can persist after deactivation) or might you be on a hosting platform such as WP Engine which has an integral caching layer?
Thanks!

ParticipantThank you Barry for your response. I had a friend sit down (who is not a newbie) and review the site. He discovered that the Illuminate WP theme was the issue.
Thank you for the time you invested. I am sure the past few days, from what I see on the forums, have been frustrating for you.

MemberNo problem at all, we’re here to help if we can.
One of the problems – certainly a likely cause of the dropdown view selector not functioning – is that a much older version of the jQuery library (1.6.4) than is supplied with current versions of WordPress (1.10.2) is being enqueued on the pages of your site:
ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.2/jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.1
Based on what you’re telling me it sounds like it could be your theme which is doing this: of course ditching a theme isn’t always an easy decision to make, so it could definitely be worth approaching the theme vendor (again, assuming it is the theme which is swapping out the current version of jQuery for an older version) and asking them to confirm if that older copy of jQuery is actually necessary and if not request they provide code to correct this.
Hope that helps!
