Right now I’m afraid there is not. You can theoretically set the widget to display 0 events (in the list that appears immediately below it) but that wasn’t actually a design goal and, unfortunately, that aspect of the widget is busted right now.

However, the next maintenance release should remedy that and you will be able to click through to day view.

    Definitely.

There are always going to be edge cases – but certainly for the majority of people a child theme makes sense, as it affords a clean and straightforward upgrade path when updates arrive for the parent theme, for example.

Generally speaking it would make sense to place your overrides in the child theme.

It’s hard for me to answer that not knowing quit what is happening deep, or even at any level, within HandHeld – but ultimately I can’t think of any particular reasons why our use of custom post types would be an impediment.

Hi Cian – ok, great. What I’ll do in that case is move this across to the Community Events forum where our expert for that plugin – Casey – can help you, bearing in mind as per my last reply this may be beyond the scope of support (though Casey is the best person to advise you on this one).

    Thanks!

Same problem here. Just bumping this.

Please don’t bump, create a new thread of your own instead (and share any pertinent information there) 🙂

I think this is what I did. https://gist.github.com/anonymous/103361fe986b9626e91a

Thanks Audra. That certainly would cause a problem – you’ve got an extra <?php tag in there (right above add_action( ‘parse_query’, ‘tribe_fix_tag_query’ );) which you would need to remove.

No official ETA – but we’re in the final stages so it will definitely be soon 🙂

If you want to hold on and see if that makes any difference when it arrives that’s fine – otherwise if you can run through the suggested troubleshooting steps, especially if you think it may be a conflict, that would be great.

Is that all good from your perspective?

    Hi Mike,

I don’t actually find the same thing. As an editor I can view events, open them and edit them and submitted changes ‘stick’ as expected. Can you confirm:

    A) That this happens even with no other plugins running and just a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve?

    B) If you have used or are using a Role Editor plugin, or some other tool to change the capabilities of user accounts?

    Thanks!

Thanks Snorton (we must have posted in quick succession 🙂 ) … just a note for both that it’s generally best to share code via a service like Pastebin or Gist, rather than share it directly in the forum – for instance I think you may have tried to share code in your initial post, Anthony, but it was, unfortunately, stripped out.

Hi Anthony, it does indeed return an array, so you could either iterate across that array and do what you like with each individual term slug, or else cause it to implode() into a single string.

    Does that help?

I wasn’t even aware of HandHeld before reading your post, in all honesty. Am I right in understanding this basically to be a problem only in terms of integrating the two (ie, integrating HandHeld with The Events Calendar/PRO)?

    Hi thinkwebie,

It’s probably possible – but I suspect it’s a customization beyond what we can help you with here. Can you confirm if this relates only to The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO – or are you also using Community Events here (and if so does your question primarily pertain to that plugin)?

    Thanks!

Hi joinfof, our apologies for any inconvenience this bug has caused you. It’s actually something we’ve been working on and the next maintenance release ought to ship with a fix for this problem (and is due any time now).

I’m afraid that isn’t supported by the CSV import tool at present. You could certainly pose this as a feature request over on our UserVoice page, right now though I’m afraid it simply is not supported.

If you have a featured image assigned you should certainly see that with the default list view, even when inside a category. Can you link to an example on your site and can you confirm if this persists even with no other plugins / only a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve running?
