MemberHi Brian, a rule like the following might help:
.tribe-events-list-separator-month > span { color: black }You could for example set up a custom tribe-events.css stylesheet and add the rule in there (please see our Themer’s Guide for details). Does that help?

MemberHi verahelleman – is this in relation to WooCommerce Tickets or one of our other ticketing plugins? If so it would be more appropriate to post your question in that forum so our expert for that plugin can assist.
I’d be happy to move this thread for you – but can you confirm if it is WooCommerce Tickets or a different plugin (ShoppTickets, EDD Tickets etc) you are enquiring about?
Thanks!

MemberHi ckangell.
That all sounds achievable: your first port of call should be our Themer’s Guide which explains much of the basics.
Prevent user from being directed to events page when they click on
The events are linked to from within the month/single-event.php template … you could simply strip out the <a> link elements that surround the event title.
Display the tooltip onclick rather than on mouseenter
So you’d need to write some custom JS to do this, either building on and working around the existing code or else you could, potentially, dequeue our own Javascript first (however you would lose other client-side behaviours in the process).

MemberHi Luca, thanks for getting in touch.
My question is (i have Event Calendar base version for now):
why i can’t let empty the field setting Slag url events to see events and bar search in homepage?I’m not entirely sure what you mean, but WordPress will not allow the creation of any posts – including events – if they do not have a slug. If one wasn’t specified, the system will automatically generate it.
How could i obtain to view plugin filter bar and events list in homepage?
It’s a popular request (to add events or event views to the homepage) and we hope to facilitate this in a future release. Right now though we’d regard this as an advanced customization and not one we can offer too much help with, unfortunately.
If you are familiar with coding – and coding for WordPress – you could review our technical docs and functions like tribe_get_view() in particular and think about building what you need that way. However, there are quite a lot of things you would need to take care of to pull this off – including enqueuing the correct scripts and styles.
Alternatively, you might embed a suitable widget (calendar or list widgets) in a homepage-specific sidebar and style and customize it to cover more space and include more information. Our Themer’s Guide is a good starting point if this approach is of interest:
Themer’s Guide for The Events Calendar
Good luck!

MemberUnfortunately that button won’t be visible for all users and was anyway a ‘run once and disappear’ sort of a tool intended to resolve a specific problem (long time core plugin users adding Events Calendar PRO and needing to merge many identical duplicates in their venue and organizer data), it’s not something that, by the sounds of things, would quite meet your needs here.
It would be nice to be able to select two items from the admin backend and “merge” them. This could help when you have duplicates that are differently named, or have typos.
It certainly sounds like this would meet your needs. Though not currently facilitated, please do post a feature request over on our UserVoice page:
We’d also be interested to hear your thoughts on any strategy that might be used for merging (should the administrator select which fields ought to be retained? Should they have fine grained control and pick and choose fields from each different venue to merge together or just favour one venue over another?).
Thanks!

MemberHi danieldekay.
Delete single events from a series of recurring events (like for holidays, or when someone is ill)
You should be able to edit an instance on a recurring event and trash it from within the editor without impacting on the rest of the chain of events.
Change data on a single event from a series, like to indicate the DJ who plays, or change the time or location if it is an exception.
I’m afraid that currently this is not supported, but we are thinking of making structural changes that will facilitate this in the future. You can certainly post on our UserVoice page to show your support for this sort of thing (as the more voices in favour, the more weight these ideas gain).
Even when I manually go to the calendar, select edit on a single instance of an event, it never asks me if i want to change the series or the singular event anymore (I believe it did this in 3.1)
If you change the description, title etc then you should certainly see a dialog asking you if it should apply to all events or just the current and any future events (which would effectively break the ‘chain’ of events). If that isn’t the case please let me know the exact steps I’d need to replicate this and also confirm that the problem persists even with no other plugins activated and only a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve in place.
Thanks!

MemberHi d20games, I’m not sure how the calendar widget issue would prevent you from upgrading (do you mean a WordPress upgrade – or are you using an earlier version of our plugin that you wish to update?) – it shouldn’t by itself impact on that process.
And another problem with using the licence with my staging server has ended up causing the main instance of this to fail on the primary site.
Please do create a new thread as this sounds like a quite separate problem – we’d be happy to help, but I’d like to avoid confusion that might result from tackling two different problems in one thread. Please do also clarify what you mean when you say that the “main instance is failing”.
Whatever the problem is that I have, it is not matching what you described as the existing bug.
It seems not, yet it is quite close in terms of symptoms.
I wonder though: if you revert to only a default, unmodified theme and turn off all other plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO (consequently this would mean your widget customization would not be used) and you configure the calendar widget to show 5 events as it does now, does it behave as expected under those conditions?
I’d be keen to isolate any issues that have arisen from customization work, in addition to the possibility that some other component is conflicting.

MemberHi Jim,
So there seem to be two sides to this question, the first centring on your need to add IDs and classes to custom fields. With that in mind, it could first of all be worth investigating the possibility of filtering and modifying existing additional field output to achieve this – without the need to build up a new system that functions in parallel.
If that isn’t workable and you do want to add a new type of custom field I’m afraid we would have to leave the details to you. Adding a new meta box for instance to the event editor to expose this new feature is not really any different to accomplishing the same task with a built-in WordPress post type, ie in the post or page editors (and this is well documented over on the WordPress codex). With a bit of digging around you could probably also expose WordPress’s own custom fields UI if that’s sufficient to meet your needs.
In terms of altering the CSV uploader, I’m not too sure how easy it would be to accomplish that at this time – so once again we would need to leave you to investigate and determine if hooking into this part of the system is the right way to do things or not. Of course, we’d welcome any suggestions for improvement you might come up with along the way and these can be posted on our feature request page:
Sorry we can’t offer too much more here, but really this is very much a custom development issue and that’s generally not something we can assist with.
Barry
MemberSure: it you were able for instance to test importing data from our demo site that would be an interesting experiment and would further help us to figure out if the source of this problem is a general bug, an issue specific to your WordPress installation or indeed a problem with Apple Calendar / the way your local copy is configured, etc.

MemberHi folks: just a quick update that this is not necessarily going to arrive in December – we’re still finalizing this product and it’s possible we will be looking at a later release.
Please do stay tuned to the product stream on our blog (or subscribe to our newsletters) to stay up to date with all the latest.
Thanks – and apologies for any confusion!
Barry
MemberHi globemedia,
We were certainly planning on a December release, but for quality control reasons that isn’t going to happen – as of course the last thing we want is people purchasing and installing a plugin that hasn’t been through our normal QA checks (due to other pressures we’ve simply been unable to progress as quickly as we might like on that front).
With that said, generally we do not comment on release dates and I’d recommend you do not plan on a December release for this product unless for instance we make an official announcement on our blog to the contrary. Apologies for any confusion – it wasn’t our intention to falsely set your expectations and I hope you can bear with us a little longer as we finalize this exciting new product.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberSounds like an error somewhere along the line. The blank screen in particular suggests that perhaps a fatal error is occurring. Can you confirm this happens even with all other plugins deactivated and only a default, unmodified theme running?
Barry
MemberNo ETA I’m afraid, Kevin. We’re equally keen to finish work on and release that plugin but we also need to make time to let it work through our quality assurance processes and resolve any final quirks.
We don’t want to get your or anyone else’s hopes up by suggesting a date that we can’t commit to – which is why we can only say “soon” – and for the same reason we don’t wish to suggest even an approximate timeframe.
