Yes, it’s definitely possible. You could certainly link only to whichever month the event is going to be taking place in, if that’s what you mean.
Also is there a way to show kind of a timeline of that day? Like from 9:00am-10:0am speech, 10:00-11:00 something else, etc for the whole day in a table-like grid?
Our PRO plugin adds a day view, so if each individual event taking place that day was added separately you could certainly do this – arranging it in a table like grid rather than list style would take a little customizing though, but is completely possible – especially if you are comfortable working with CSS, HTML, etc.

The first thing to check is if your theme or another plugin is using a placeholder polyfill: can you try deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve: do you still see the same problem?
If you do not, try reactivating everything one-at-a-time until you find the culprit.

You can probably get pretty close to what you want here by building one or more custom roles. This FAQ entry gives you an idea of the capabilities that exist specifically in relation to events, you’d probably want to combine them with others offered by WooCommerce in this instance.

I don’t believe pagination is currently implemented for single venue views, but we do intend to add it. I’ll try and touch base with the relevant team member and get you a more complete update – but it may simply be that to date we have been unable to schedule this work due to other priorities, unfortunately.

It’s great to see interesting stuff being built – but the code by Marty (and it was great of him to share it) is his code, it isn’t something we wrote and we can’t support it and troubleshoot it for you. Is using tribe_get_events() – which is effectively an event-friendly wrapper around WP_Query – an option here, setting the tribeHideRecurrence property to 1?
That would make a great feature request if you’d like to post one, but we don’t currently add any extra template tags that I’m aware of. Does that clarify things?
I’m pretty sure we made a change to catch this problem – are you able to update to the latest versions of our plugins?
So rather than detecting when the next day is that contains an event and linking to that, which would be a more expensive operation, we link to the next/previous day regardless of whether it contains events – and we also feel this is more intuitive for many or most users.
In order to stop these pages from being indexed however (since they correctly return a 404 status in the normal run of things), we set a robots meta tag instructing search engines not to index the page. What we can’t do is guarantee that this will be respected or that it won’t be overridden – whether by another plugin also setting the robots meta tag or by some other mechanism that might take precedence in the eyes of a given search engine (a sitemap, perhaps).
Does that at least provide a better picture of what is happening here?

OK. Well we’ll certainly add this to a list of things we are checking out in relation to single event 404s. There does seem to be a pattern between plugins/themes that add to and modify the rewrite rules table stored in the WordPress options table and this specific issue – but we’ll have to do more digging.
For now it sounds like you’ve isolated the problem and can workaround it and so I’ll close this thread – but we will endeavour to post updates as and when there is something to report.
