MemberHi! Thanks for posting this – however I am going to close this thread as it largely seems to be a duplicate of this one. We’ll follow up over there – thanks!
Barry
MemberHi!
Thanks for giving The Events Calendar a whirl.
Please note that this forum is for pre-sales questions, not technical support. If you need further assistance we’d recommend purchasing a license key for Events Calendar PRO – letting you support the project and receive expert help.
Other than that you are also more than welcome to post on our wordpress.org forum, but do note the level of support we provide there doesn’t generally cover integration with non-default themes and is focused primarily on gathering bug reports.
Thanks for getting in touch ๐
February 4, 2014 at 12:58 pm in reply to: Does The Events Calendar (free) list Eventbrite events? Or do I need Pro? #100666Barry
MemberThe free, core plugin has no special abilities in terms of working with Eventbrite – we actually have a dedicated addon for this (which you would install alongside The Events Calendar) – check it out:
I hope that helps but if you have any further questions please just let me know.
Thanks!

MemberHi Charles,
Right now I am afraid that isn’t quite possible. We do ship a CSV importer as part of The Events Calendar and addons like Facebook Events bring the capability to pull in events from a Facebook account – but it cannot by itself be set to automatically pull in some other type of feed.
That said, it would certainly be possible as a customization – just not something it can do “out of the box”.
I hope that answers your question, but please let me know if you need any more information.
February 4, 2014 at 12:54 pm in reply to: The following plugins are out of date error message #100657Barry
MemberBased on the information you have shared it sounds like you are using The Events Calendar 3.4.1 (great!) with Events Calendar PRO 3.3 (not so great – this is an older release). Can you visit your plugin admin page and try updating Events Calendar PRO to 3.4? That should resolve this.
Nobody uses the 2011 theme anymore.
Are you referring to our recommended troubleshooting steps here?
Twenty Eleven is simply a useful measure of what might be regarded as standard behaviour for a theme. It may be that fewer people use it than previously – but it remains an actively maintained theme by the core WP team and is a useful touchstone (though if you do ever need to complete those steps, feel free to substitute Twenty Twelve or another default theme if you prefer) … however, I don’t think we need you to complete those troubleshooting steps just yet so you don’t need to worry about this ๐

MemberHi Graeme,
Thanks for creating a fresh thread for this ๐
- On visiting the URL you provided I cannot actually locate anything that is clearly a WordPress site or looks like output from The Events Calendar: can you confirm where I should be looking – and perhaps drop a direct link in here?
- In the previous thread you linked to the original poster’s theme was basically at fault. Can you follow the same troubleshooting steps (deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme) to try and discover if this might be the case for you, too?
- Which theme are you using – can you provide a link to its homepage?
Thanks!

MemberHi @robpoole,
I can’t actually view your site – seems it is password protected – but it basically sounds like a CSS issue. I’m afraid it’s difficult to provide much more guidance without seeing it with my own eyes, as it were. Our Themer’s Guide provides some insight into setting up your own event-specific CSS rules, so that could be worth a read here.
I hope that helps, but if not please respond with a link where I can see the problem and I’ll happily take another look ๐

MemberHi @scottlyttle – great question!
The answer is that these tickets are stored in the posts table and so they have a unique ID, allocated as with any other post type.
Why did this start at #25? Also, what happened to #28 and #29
So in your example, I’d guess a post with an ID of 24 had already been created (and this post may have had nothing to do with ticketing – it could have been a regular page or post, for instance). The “absent” IDs similarly would have been allocated to other posts, again these may have had nothing to do with ticketing.
Does that clarify things?
February 4, 2014 at 12:24 pm in reply to: wanted to change my website for which the license is #100632Barry
MemberHi @cezarneaga – that should definitely be possible.
Just to confirm where you are in the process, you have already visited the license key page here at tri.be and have cleared the original site? If so, what are you seeing when you try to enter the key on your new site – any specific error messages?
Thanks!

MemberI’m sorry for the inconvenience @michaeldef, that looks like a bug and we’ll get it logged and addressed as quickly as we can. In the meantime, can you get by without using that feature?

MemberHi @techsavvychic,
It can definitely be frustrating to have slow load speeds so I appreciate this must be annoying.
That said, I visited your homepage using Firefox then Chrome, I can’t say I discerned any noticeable difference. Can you confirm if this is an ongoing problem for you (and is still limited to just Chrome)? Is it possible you have extensions installed in your local copy of Chrome and if so can you try disabling them / use a different machine with a clean installation?
Thanks!

MemberHi @ccvbcalendar,
Can you provide a little more detail here – in what way are they conflicting? Do you find this only happens with The Events Calendar and WooCommerce, or is it only when Events Calendar PRO is additionally deactivated (I felt I should ask as it sounds like you may suspect the theme as being part of the problem)?
Let us know – thanks!
Barry
MemberI do indeed see a few which take me to a 404 page, I appreciate that must be pretty frustrating.
Can you confirm in the first instance that that is indeed what you are describing? If so, can you try deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme – then visit the Settingsย โ Permalinks admin screen (you need change nothing, visiting this page is sufficient to “flush” the permalink rules) then see if the affected events are still subject to this problem?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberI tried visiting your site just to check it’s nothing unusual however the links to the event calendar lead me to a subdomain featuring what I take to be a calendar generated by a different plugin or app.
However, I believe what you are describing is expected (if you are on month view, that becomes the default value of the view selector). Assuming that is indeed what you find unintuitive we’re definitely interested in hearing your ideas on improving things – and would recommend posting your thoughts on our UserVoice page – the great thing about this is that other users can then indicate their support or embellish your idea with additional suggestions.
Thanks!

MemberHi @chrisd2d,
I’m sorry to hear you are hitting difficulties here.
I fully appreciate your reluctance to deactivate other plugins/switch theme, but there have been occasions in the past where another plugin shipping with a different version of the Plugin Update Engine has caused problems along these lines – so it’s definitely worth a try – failing that, you can of course update manually (downloads relating to your current license keys can be found here).
Does that help?
