    Great question!

If these are distinct sites (albeit they “live” on the same domain) and you potentially need support for each of them then individual licenses or something like our developer license may be most suitable.

Are they indeed individual WordPress installations, or are you using a multisite network?

    Hi John, thanks.

So with regard to the error messages first of all, though the [error] element suggests a problem, those are actually just regular log entries and are generated by our core plugin whenever the init event takes place (which, generally speaking, is every single time a request is received and processed by WordPress).

I also appreciate the offer of access – however, right now, I’m not sure that would particularly help us especially as I have no reason to doubt that you didn’t carefully follow the regular troubleshooting steps we normally put forward. That said, one last form of troubleshooting that could be worth a shot here though (and while similar to what you have already done is subtly different) is as follows:

    • Install a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory, but in the same environment
    • Install only The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO and Facebook Events
    • Test and see if you still face this issue

If you do, that strongly suggests there is some sort of impediment to the import process relating to the hosting environment – but of course it may be that everything works smoothly under those conditions, so the best thing is to try it and see what occurs.

Again, we appreciate your patience and support in looking into this.

    Hi: apologies for the delay.

It did look for a while like there might be a common pattern across the threads but largely what we’ve uncovered are conflicts with individual themes and plugins. I appreciate we’ve already tried a few things here, but on reviewing the thread I’m not 100% clear though if these steps were followed in order and at the same time, namely:

    • Switching to a default, unmodified theme
    • Deactivating all other plugins except for The Events Calendar / Events Calendar PRO
    • Then flushing permalinks (simply by visiting the Settingsย โ†’ Permalinks admin screen)
    • Testing to see if the problem is resolved

If you haven’t tried those steps in a single troubleshooting pass they would be well worth doing. If that doesn’t reveal anything, a second tranche of steps can be followed:

    • Install a fresh copy of WordPress in the same hosting environment, in a subdirectory beside the existing installation for instance
    • Initially install only our plugins – does the problem occur
    • Assuming it does not, begin building things up so you have the same stack of plugins/themes as on your live site
    • Does that problem return?

The benefit of this is that we may uncover either that there is some sort of environmental issue specific to your hosting environment (such as if the problem instantly occurs in this default environment before you add any other components except for our own plugins) or else it may indicate that it does indeed only occur after a certain component is added to the stack.

Are you able to test this out?

Thanks again for your patience and support.

    Hi Thomas,

I’m going to close this thread as it’s been a while – but please do note that since you opened this thread we did discover an issue which has been solved as of today with our WooCommerce Tickets 3.4.1 release and would encourage you to update to that version.

    Thanks!

    Glad that helped ๐Ÿ™‚

What would be more flexible is another field in which you can specify the order.

We’d definitely be open to exploring possibilities – perhaps even letting tickets be re-ordered from within the event editor with buttons to move them up and down the pecking order – and if you wanted to post a feature request (the benefit of doing so being others can add their thoughts/support which can be useful as a metric of interest, but also in fleshing out the idea) it’s certainly something to which we’d give serious consideration.

    Thanks again!

    Hi!

So it sounds like the list widget would better suit your needs here, but that you are trying to use the calendar widget because you prefer its appearance – is that correct?

If so, the best route is probably to customize the calendar widget (by adding new styles and, if necessary, overriding the list widget templates) – that’s likely to be a faster route toward achieving what you want here than modifying the calendar widget, though ultimately the path you follow is up to you ๐Ÿ™‚

Please do check out the Themer’s Guide if you haven’t already done so, as it covers both adding custom stylesheets and the process for overriding templates.

    Does that help?

    Hi!

Sorry to hear you are having problems.

That certainly doesn’t sound like normal behaviour – but can you share a link to the site in question so I can see this and be sure I’m understanding you correctly?

    Thanks!

    Hi Remi,

    Glad you’re enjoying the plugin!

We’d welcome any feature requests you might make with regards to extra filters – right now though you could explore making use of WordPress’s own wp_insert_post filter (actually a number of filters/actions fire when the ticket is created) or even prepopulating the ticket name field with a little Javascript magic.

Could be neither of those approaches is exactly ideal, but they certainly ought to provide the basis of a working solution.

…and please do post a feature request if you’d like to see more specific hooks in a future release ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hope that helps!
