Don't show Event in List view but DO show in Calendar view.

Is it possible to have an event that does not show when in List view (my default view) but does show up when the visitor selects Calendar (week) view?
For example – during the weeklong event there are specific times and locations for Lunch. Since Lunch is a specific Course I would rather not have it show up in the List view but I would like to show it on Calendar where the Visitor can see the Days Schedule of events including Lunch.
I hope this makes sense.
I was hoping the checkbox “Hide from Event Listings” would do just this but it hides it from Everything..not just the List.

Hi Slade,

Interesting idea: it’s not something that’s natively supported, though, and if you really need this I’m afraid you are going to have to build it yourself as a customization.

We’d certainly be interested in seeing this posted as a feature request, as other users may wish to add their support/further comments in support.

Thanks for the note. What you are looking for would require a little customization and some knowlege of how to work with the plugins code to get to work that way. You are right that the “Hide from Events Listing” would hide it from all views – not just the list view.

How comfortable are you with coding – if you have some knowledge then I would suggest taking a look at the plugins docs: http://docs.tri.be/ and a look through the tutorials: https://tri.be/the-events-calendar-for-wordpress-tutorials/ (which don’t have your specific query – but does have some useful info).

Hopefully that will point you in the right direction. Please let us know if you need any specific direction that we can help you with.
