MemberThanks for contacting us – and I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing problems.
I can appreciate your reluctance to run through the normal troubleshooting steps of deactivating all other plugins, but that could certainly be helpful in trying to get to the bottom of this – as I strongly suspect a conflict.
That apart, can you post back with a link to your main events page (I’m afraid I was unable to locate it) and a copy of your system information, as provided in the Events → Help admin screen (near the bottom of the page).
Thanks!

ParticipantBarry,
Your last two replies are marked as private and we cannot see what you have to say.
Also, if you need access to our site to see the problem yourself, we can arrange for you to have admin access. Lets us know and we can schedule a time.February 7, 2014 at 7:11 am #101871Barry
MemberApologies. We do have some issues with our forum software we hope to resolve soon and private replies made by staff are a sticking point right now. Let me re-post both of the above:
Thank you for testing that – and for the information about Gravity Forms – but can you clarify if you were able to switch to a default theme at the same time as deactivating all of the plugins? If not, and you are unable to do so for the same reason as Gravity Forms, could I ask you to link to the theme homepage (if it is freely available) or else provide a download link – which you can share privately – in case that is relevant to the problem?
Thanks!
…
The blank back screen is new since I have deactivated and reactivated my plug-ins
Looks like you are using the Default Events Template (this is set in the Events → Settings → Display admin screen) … it’s possible this changed during deactivation/reactivation – so in case that is behind this issue, please try changing it to the Default Page Template.
Thanks!
Let me know your thoughts on the above – and thanks for the offer of admin access, that could definitely be useful, but we would prefer to keep that as a last resort.

ParticipantOK. We activate the default theme (2014) and we experienced the same problem as with our current theme. In other words, we created and posted a new event. Went to the calendar and clicked on this event and received a ‘page not found’.
In conclusion, we are no further ahead.February 10, 2014 at 6:26 am #102595Barry
MemberThat’s a shame. This does seem to follow the same pattern as a number of other reports we have seen. At this time we’re not quite sure why we’ve seen a surge in this behaviour but we’re going to do some further digging and will endeavour to update this thread after that point.

ParticipantOK. Do you have any time frame as to when you will get to the bottom of this? We need your software working as soon as possible. Good luck with this.

MemberOf course, and we are keen to resolve this ourselves – but I cannot offer a timeline as such.

ParticipantIs there any progress on this ticket? We really need this plugin to start working for us.

MemberHi: apologies for the delay.
It did look for a while like there might be a common pattern across the threads but largely what we’ve uncovered are conflicts with individual themes and plugins. I appreciate we’ve already tried a few things here, but on reviewing the thread I’m not 100% clear though if these steps were followed in order and at the same time, namely:
- Switching to a default, unmodified theme
- Deactivating all other plugins except for The Events Calendar / Events Calendar PRO
- Then flushing permalinks (simply by visiting the Settings → Permalinks admin screen)
- Testing to see if the problem is resolved
If you haven’t tried those steps in a single troubleshooting pass they would be well worth doing. If that doesn’t reveal anything, a second tranche of steps can be followed:
- Install a fresh copy of WordPress in the same hosting environment, in a subdirectory beside the existing installation for instance
- Initially install only our plugins – does the problem occur
- Assuming it does not, begin building things up so you have the same stack of plugins/themes as on your live site
- Does that problem return?
The benefit of this is that we may uncover either that there is some sort of environmental issue specific to your hosting environment (such as if the problem instantly occurs in this default environment before you add any other components except for our own plugins) or else it may indicate that it does indeed only occur after a certain component is added to the stack.
Are you able to test this out?
Thanks again for your patience and support.
