MemberThanks – that’s appreciated 🙂
I removed the code above and am running WP 3.9.1, ECP 3.6.1, Gravity Forms 1.8.8 and GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools 4.3.3 and I no longer have CSS conflicts in the admin screens of the other plugins. The recent update must have done the trick.
So that’s great news and I’ll close the thread at this point – but, Mike, if you or anyone else does need further help with this/a similar issue definitely do feel free to create a new thread and we’ll do our best to assist.
Thanks!

MemberOK, that’s actually a great clue as to the problem: while single event/venue posts may still show a map (because they simply work by feeding Google the street address – and Google takes things from there) in map view we supply Google with a list of coordinates.
If you aren’t seeing a pinmarker for this venue, then, it’s likely that – for some reason – the plugin was unable to determine what those coordinates were. There are a number of possible causes, but let’s explore a quick and fairly easy workaround that might help us out in the first instance.
Can I ask you to edit the venue in question and change the address slightly (add an extra number to the start), then save, then edit and change it back to whatever it should be … and save again. This seems like a bit of back and forth but it should trigger an update of the stored coordinates for the venue – could you give that a try and see if it improves things?

MemberExcellent – would you object if I re-post your reply publicly?
Barry

MemberYes, it is safe to share credentials by private reply (and we anyway remove them from the forum once we’ve got them for an added layer of protection) – however we’d rather you simply upload a copy of the plugin somewhere and share the link (whether via your own website or Dropbox or whatever – and again, you could share the link privately) as we prefer not to access customer sites by FTP unless there is a really overwhelming reason to do so.
Thanks!

MemberPleasure!
I’ll go ahead and close this thread – of course if we can help with anything else please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. As an aside, if you have a moment and were able to leave a review we’d love to hear your thoughts on The Events Calendar 🙂
Thanks again!

MemberOK, so that particular issue with the order screen taking a long time to finish loading is really something you’d have to speak to the team at WooThemes about, since it doesn’t sound particular to our plugin.
Regarding the emails, is it possible they are being caught up in spam filters? If you place a test order and look within your own email account’s spam/junk folder do you see them there?

MemberHow puzzling. If you enable map view, do you see a pinmarker for the event on that view?
Barry
MemberOK – I’ll close this one (and sorry for the inconvenience).

MemberThanks for running through that!
I actually thought you were referring to a quite different issue initially but I can certainly see the problem now. That’s very puzzling. Before we go any further, can you now deactivate everything except The Events Calendar itself (and so also deactivate WooCommerce): does this problem persist even then?

MemberOne other thing to try, for those of you using WP Engine, is adding the following piece of code in your wp-config.php file:
define( ‘WPE_GOVERNOR’, false );
This should serve to stop WP Engine from killing queries where they exceed a certain length (which is being used as an indicator of a poorly performing query, even though this does not always hold true).
Let us know how you get on!
