MemberHi Mike,
Really sorry we missed your posts. Can I ask that you post your questions in a new thread of your own? Unfortunately, when you “hijack” another customer’s thread staff aren’t automatically alerted to further replies by anyone other than the original poster.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for bearing with us!
Barry
MemberHi: sorry you’re facing difficulties.
So with regards to the time it takes for the order screen to complete, can you confirm if this is generally a problem on your installation with WooCommerce (perhaps by creating a regular, ie non-ticket, product and attempting a test purchase) ?
I will get a confirmation email of the order but the event available tickets do not register.
Can you confirm if the orders are marked as complete? If not and you update them accordingly, are the ticket emails then dispatched as expected?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi – is this basically the same question as you posed in this thread? Do you mind if we close this one and keep the conversation going there?
Barry
MemberHi – thanks for getting in touch.
I’m sorry you’re facing these issues and would love to get a better sense of what might be causing them. The first thing that catches my eye is the structure of those permalinks: is it possible you are using a translation plugin, such as WPML or qTranslate?
If so, does deactivating that plugin restore normal operation of The Events Calendar?

MemberHi: I’m sorry you’re hitting these problems.
In the first instance I just wanted you to know that we’re working hard to deliver improvements specifically in relation to the performance of various database queries. As you can appreciate, this is something we need to take some time on in order to get it right and prevent breakages – so, realistically, this isn’t something that we’ll be able to turnaround in a matter of a few days or even weeks.
I’d be interested to learn a little more about your specific circumstances, though:
- How many events do you have?
- Approximately how many are recurring?
- Can you provide any information about your current web hosting package?
Thanks!
June 20, 2014 at 7:10 am in reply to: Press Permit Pro (and basic) conflict with The Events Calendar (Modern Tribe) #238167Barry
MemberIt sounds like perhaps Press Permit is filtering queries in a way that conflicts with our own filtering of those same queries. Though I can’t unfortunately offer any guarantees about fixing this, I’d be more than happy to take a quick look.
Can you provide access to an up-to-date copy of that plugin?
Barry
MemberThanks for creating the other thread which was definitely the right course of action.
Please note, however, that owing to a quirk in how our forums work if you “gatecrash” someone else’s thread and post an update then, unfortunately, it may not be flagged up to staff as being in need of a reply. No problem at all on this occasion, but I just wanted to make you aware of that to avoid any future frustration in waiting for staff to respond.

MemberHi!
Your main events page at ktc-bsa.org/calendar is month view so what you’re seeing when you use that URL is the iCal data for the current month. An upcoming events feed is accessible however at:
http://www.ktc-bsa.org/calendar/upcoming/?ical=1&tribe_display=list
Would that help here? I would note that (by default) it still won’t necessarily provide a list of all events, as it is limited to displaying however many are specified in the number of events to show per page setting.
Does that help/clarify things?
Barry
MemberHi – I’m sorry it didn’t go smoothly for you.
Can you provide the complete error message relating to tribe_is_week() – and do you recall if you have any customizations (possibly living in your theme’s functions.php file) that use that specific function?
June 20, 2014 at 6:49 am in reply to: Start times show in Month View for all-day events (12:00AM) #238123Barry
MemberHi!
Yeah the forum isn’t a great venue for sharing code and typically it’s best (at least at this time) to share by linking to the code on Pastebin, Gist or some similar service.
To the issue at hand, have you tried using the tribe_event_is_all_day() function?
if ( ! tribe_event_is_all_day() ) echo tribe_get_start_date( /* your params */ );Does that help at all?
Barry
MemberHi! Can you provide a little more information on what you want to achieve here – do you want to “pin” an event to the top of the upcoming events list, for instance?
Or are you interested in stopping select events from being hidden in month view, where you have more events in a given day than are allowed to display?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi! Does this help?
Barry
MemberSure!
- Login to your WordPress dashboard
- Visit Events > Categories and find the category you are interested in – hover over it and click on view
- This should take you to the relevant category page: copy the URL
- Return to the admin environment and visit Appearance > Menus
- Edit the menu in question and add a custom link, pasting in the URL you just copied

Does that help?
Barry
MemberGlad that fixed things!
I’m going to go ahead and close this thread, but of course if we can help with anything else please do feel free to create new threads as needed.
Barry
MemberI’m worried we’re misunderstanding one another here: once you import an event, it effectively lives as a distinct entity in WordPress. Updating your local (WordPress-copy) of the event will not update the same event on Facebook, and vice versa.
If that doesn’t quite explain the situation, could you help me understand by detailing what’s happening step-by-step?
Thanks!
