Hmm, seems to work for me. When testing this did you actually do something (ie, update one of the events) so as to generate a revision?

The meta box won’t actually display unless there are revisions available.

    Hi Anthony,

I’m guessing this is now resolved or else you’re focusing on other issues/too busy to progress this at present.

That being the case I’ll close this thread, but if you do need further help certainly let us know and we’ll do our best to assist πŸ™‚

    Thanks again!

    Hi!

It looks like you have some customizations in place there – for instance, you seem to have a customized tribe-events/single-event.php template in place.

Could that be the problem here (can you try restoring the default templates and see if it works as expected)?

    Thanks!

    Hi accessrose,

Sorry it’s not working for you.

It looks like the theme ships with its own custom events templates and I can’t help but wonder if those are the problem here, particularly if you have already narrowed the problem down to your theme.

Have you reached out to the theme author? I’m afraid we have no idea how any custom event templates it provides have been structured – and it’s ultimately their responsibility to support them.

If I’m misunderstanding and you aren’t actually sure if it’s the theme/the theme’s custom event templates just let me know and we can definitely explore that in more depth.

    Thanks!

Hmm, looks like an errant list item tag has borked the formatting of the page – apologies on that count πŸ™‚

There’s quite a lot of ground that you want to cover and the best starting place is our Themer’s Guide which covers the basics of safely overriding and customizing our templates. Lots of users have success following those steps – so what I’d recommend here is giving it a blast.

If it’s too tricky definitely let us know of any stumbling blocks and if we can point you in the right direction we can – but wide ranging changes like you are outlining are really something we’d typically leave up to you (or, of course, a developer/designer working on your behalf).

    Does that help at all?

    Hi – great question!

Month view is built so as to let you limit the number of events that show per day – but also let visitors click through to “day view”, which lists all events taking place that day.

Would that meet your needs here?

Yes, that should certainly be possible.

Once you’ve changed it, if you hit difficulties, please visit the Permalink Settings page: you don’t actually have to change anything, just visiting this should “flush” the rewrite rules and – hopefully – will right the ship.

    Does that help here?

Hi – thanks for contacting us, I’m sorry you’re hitting difficulties.

Please do feel free to use private replies when appropriate but, unless you need to share confidential information (such as user logins) it’s best to avoid them as it can make the thread fairly confusing when other users – who might be researching similar problems – come acrossΒ  them πŸ™‚

I figured out that it is the auto-optimize CSS & javascript compression script that is bonking the filter

What specific .js files should I exclude from compression/cancatenation?

It’s difficult to know exactly which one needs to be excluded – it might be you need to exclude multiple files. In each of our plugins the JS and CSS is contained in a directory called resources so the best approach here is to open that up and you’ll then see a list of all the files that might be pertinent here.

If your minification/concatenation tool supports wildcards it may be you can exclude the entire resources directory for each of our plugins.

    Does that help?

    Hi Saskia – great question!

WooCommerce Tickets (and all our ticketing addons) certainly include stock control. However, without making a customization it is not currently possible to create a ticket type that accounts for 2 units of inventory per ticket, I’m afraid.

Does that help – or at least answer your question?

    Hi Dirk,

We don’tΒ  generally offer technical support here on the pre-sales forum so though I appreciate your desire to avoid cluttering the forums it would actually be preferable from our point of view if you posted in the WooCommerce Tickets or Events Calendar PRO forum πŸ™‚

That said, if I’m understanding you correctly, it sounds very much like the heart of the matter is that you are allowing various users of different roles to access the list of events in the admin environment and the sticking point is that you cannot “lock this down” such that they only see their own events.

Accomplishing something like that definitely ought to be achievable – but it is admittedly outside the typical spectrum of support we can offer, even on the premium forums.

If that means the plugin doesn’t meet your needs and you can no longer use it that would certainly be regrettable – but you are welcome to apply for a refund by emailing us at pro (at) tri (dot) be.

If you do so, please include a copy of your purchase receipt and a link to this forum thread (to give the team some context).

    Thanks again πŸ™‚

    I’m glad it’s resolved πŸ™‚

We are predominantly an English-speaking team and certainly rely heavily on the community to furnish us with translations – if you’d like to assist, or suggest an improvement to the existing translation, please just let us know on the Translations Forum.

At this point I’ll go ahead and close the thread – but if we can assist with anything else please don’t hesitate to post and let us know πŸ™‚

    Thanks again!

Sure. Casey Driscoll (who was previously managing the other thread) is no longer on the team, but it ought to have been assigned to another team member who will take it forward in due course.

That said, please note that wherever possible we much prefer you do create a fresh thread rather than jump into threads created by other users.

    Thanks!

I definitely see where you’re coming from – and we’ve now got this logged so that we can try and rectify this oversight.

As and when things progress we’ll do our best to update this thread – so please do check back and see how things are coming along (of course, if you’ve subscribed to email updates you’ll receive them that way) πŸ™‚

Last but not least, because I don’t want to set your expectations inappropriately, it’s important to note there can be 1-2 months between releases (tending toward the former end of that scale) and at this stage any change is unlikely to make the very next release.

Thanks again for your continued support and patience.

I’m sorry for the delay and frustration.

On our side, though, we do need to get things as close as possible to a default environment without non-standard themes or third party plugins encroaching.

re: PLUGINS – Again, we only have your 2 plugins (ECP and ECP Pro) active

As a developer myself, I’m really not sure what else I can provide to have you guys take a look? The site has been in the condition you requested for over 4 days.

We absolutely appreciate your help and cooperation. But let’s be clear: when last I logged in there was another plugin present – a “must use” plugin called Limit Login Attempts – and in fact there was in addition to this another must-use plugin provided by your host – so this was not a clean, default environment.

Similarly, on logging in today, I see the same thing albeit Limit Login Attempts has been swapped out for a different one (“Force Strong Passwords”). So, again, we don’t have a clean environment to test in πŸ™‚

I’m happy to accept this may be the wrong path though so let’s take a different approach: can you provide a complete database dump? We might then be able to replicate and pin this down.

Do note you will not be able to upload any files here on the forum, so uploading it to a service like Dropbox or similar (or to your own hosting account) and providing the link in your reply – by private reply ideally – is the best way to go here.

    Thanks!

The license shouldn’t really be an issue – though having a valid license provides you with automated updates and access to further support it should not impact on the operation of the plugins themselves.

Are you absolutely sure WooCommerce Tickets has been activated, in addition to being installed? Do you see any notices at the top of the plugin admin screen (can you copy and paste them in here if so)?

    Thanks!
