ParticipantHello I’m excited to have purchased both your Events Calendar Pro and Woocommerce Tickets products.
I’m attempting to integrate them today and get things going, but I’m hitting some formatting issues. Essentially, I just want the main calendar grid page (set to Photo view) to display in the blogs standard full-width page template, and the events pages to show in the standard post/page template. That’s it. I’ve written a bit more detail and provided links to the pages in question below…
Main events page – I’d like to use the Photo view but with the standard full-width blog page template. E.g. no featured image on the calendar grid page. It should essentially look similar to the store page we’ve set up: http://twip.staging.wpengine.com/shop/ The title of the calendar page should just be “Events”, like all other pages on the site and not the title of the first event. This page: http://twip.staging.wpengine.com/events/ Should look like this page: http://twip.staging.wpengine.com/shop/ – where “Shop” would be “Events” On the actual events pages – It should use the default page/post template with the default sidebar. e.g.: This page: http://twip.staging.wpengine.com/event/twip-live-hangout/ Should look like this: http://twip.staging.wpengine.com/2014/panasonic-lumix-fz1000-gear/ For example, the featured image should be at the top of the content area in the post, then the event title as the headline, etc.
- The featured image should only show at the top of the body area… again just like a regular post on the site. Is making the event pages look like the theme I’m using possible? I’m not a PHP/CSS expert, so is this something a “regular” end-user can do? Or would I need to hire a professional to make the changes via a child-theme or something? Any insight you can offer would be much appreciated. And thanks in advance for making such awesome software. I can’t wait to start running events and workshops! In fact we’ll be moving all of our Meetup events http://www.meetup.com/TWiP-Meetup/ over to our site after the relaunch… largely due to your plug-ins. Cheers, Frederick

MemberHmm, looks like an errant list item tag has borked the formatting of the page – apologies on that count ๐
There’s quite a lot of ground that you want to cover and the best starting place is our Themer’s Guide which covers the basics of safely overriding and customizing our templates. Lots of users have success following those steps – so what I’d recommend here is giving it a blast.
If it’s too tricky definitely let us know of any stumbling blocks and if we can point you in the right direction we can – but wide ranging changes like you are outlining are really something we’d typically leave up to you (or, of course, a developer/designer working on your behalf).
Does that help at all?

ParticipantYes that makes sense. And thank you for your response on this. Unfortunately, I’m don’t currently have the bandwidth to dive into making these changes, or engaging a developer. I was hoping these plug-ins would be an out-of-the-box solution for us. I hadn’t counted on additional development work to make things work with my theme.
As cool as this software looks, it appears we’re going to have to look for a different solution for our impending launch. That said, can you process a refund for both the The Events Calendar Pro and Events plug-ins?
Thanks again for your assistance with this.

MemberHi Frederick,
I’m sorry to hear that.
You are of course welcome to request a refund: please email us at pro (at) tri (dot) be and include a copy of your purchase receipt – if you could also link to this thread to give the team member dealing with your request some context that would be great.
Thanks once more for giving it a shot and I do hope you will be able to consider Events Calendar PRO again in the future ๐
