MemberHi wineoh52,
I’m sorry you’re experiencing difficulties. Have you had an opportunity to run through our guide to preventing 404 errors? That might provide some useful insights here π
Let me know if it helps!

MemberHi Joe,
Awesome that you’re thinking of investing in PRO – it’s a great way to add some awesome functionality to our core plugin π
That said, I’m afraid we don’t offer technical support here in the pre-sales forum – that’s reserved for our existing customers who have purchased a valid license. You can certainly post on our wordpress.org forum, however, but please be aware the level of support and frequency with which a team member scans it is slightly less than here on our PRO forums.
Thanks again for your interest!

MemberHi Anders,
It would be great to get a link to a live example as the best solution in your case will depend on what your theme (and possibly other plugins) are putting in place by way of stylesheets, etc.
Can you provide a URL – by private reply if you prefer – that I can look at?
Thanks!
February 11, 2015 at 4:13 pm in reply to: Can filter bar filter on 'Category A AND B' not 'Category A OR B' for an event ? #941790Barry
MemberHi pylon,
I was hoping that the filter would look for events that had been categorised BOTH for Cat A & Cat B and hence return just Event Z. This allows the end user to narrow down a list of events surely?
This is indeed the expected behaviour.
Hypothetical example: suppose the categories were sport-related, it would allow a visitor interested in skiing, snow boarding and snow shoeing (for example) to pick all of those and therefore review all snow-related sports.
I do appreciate that may not be optimal in every scenario, though – and if you’d like to propose this as a future option (that is, enabling and behaviour as an alternative to or logic) – we’d be happy to consider it: simply visit our UserVoice channel and add your idea there, or up-vote any suitable existing request.
If this is the default behaviour of TEC Pro, is there a way we can switch it around to do what I want.
Certainly possible as a customization; unfortunately such a tweak is beyond what we can assist with here on the forums but if you’re familiar with the workings of WP_Query you could certainly make the appropriate changes by using standard WP query hooks or else our event-specific tribe_events_pre_get_posts hook.
I’m sorry we can’t offer more than this in the short term, but I do hope that at least gives you an idea you can explore if you need to take this further before any future changes the might be implemented are put in place.

MemberThanks soulofyoga, sounds like we’re making progress.
I did a fresh install. It works fine.
This suggests to me that something else needs to be present for the problem to surface – so it is definitely sounding like a conflict.
I made a duplicate of my site. I disabled all of the plugins except events calendar and events calendar pro. I get the same errors using twenty 14. It must be in the database?
I expect so, but I suspect once the damage has been done deactivating other plugins/your theme won’t reverse things by itself.
If we take the test site back to a “clean” state, with only our plugins running, we know that there is no problem. What if you start by activating your theme of choice – create a few events and see if the problem is introduced at that stage?
This will tell us if the issue is with your theme. Assuming for the moment that your theme doesn’t introduce this problem we need to repeat the same thing with your plugins.
Now I can appreciate you may have a large number of plugins and that could take some time, however something you could try is activating fully half of them – then create some more events and once again inspect to see if the problem has been introduced in relation to those new events. From there:
- If the problem hasn’t been introduced, it’s likely the issue is with one of the remaining plugins – so repeat the process and activate half of those that remain then test again
- If the problem has been introduced, delete your events and return to a clean setup then activate just the first quarter
If you can see where I’m going with this, it will quickly let you whittle things down until we pinpoint the seat of the conflict. Based on your findings so far, however, this does give me confidence that a theme/plugin conflict is the right thing to look for in this scenario.

MemberGlad that worked π
My only final request would be to truncate the βClick to shareβ and its social links that are added to the bottom of the event post from its plugin. Is this possible?
Do you mean you want to remove those elements? That’s probably possible if you customize the snippet a little further, but for something so bespoke I’m afraid we’d really need to leave such a change in your hands.

MemberHi Elizabeth π
The Events Calendar is most likely using front-page.php to render the page.
Actually we do not do this, at least not by default – though depending on the theme it’s certainly possible to select this in Events → Settings → Display if you really want to.
I kept thinking maybe it was a category but couldnβt find it there either.
To be clear, events are not a category in themselves, that was just an analogy to help explain why you do not see the events page in the list of pages.
In any case it sounds like you’ve got a solution you’re happy with and with that in mind I’ll go ahead and close out this topic – of course if anything else should crop up please don’t hesitate to create a new post and let us know π
Thanks again!

MemberAwesome π
Glad it all worked out.

MemberNo problem π
Iβm also wondering what it is that the Events Calendar goes on. Seems like it is a page, but not in my list of pages. Since the problem is only happening on the page where the Events Calendar is it makes me wonder what exactly it is. Hope that made sense.
Great question!
It’s a custom view, rather than a page, and shares a lot in common with a tag or category archive. Suppose for example that you have a “Latest News” category: typically you would find a page listing all blog posts in that category at example.com/category/latest-news – however, you will find no such entry in your list of pages.
Similarly, example.com/events can be thought of as an archive of events. There’s no way to edit the archive as a single entity – just as there isn’t with a blog category (besides creating/deleting it) – but nonetheless it’s a perfectly valid construct, just not a page in the regular WordPress sense of the word.
Does that clarify things?
February 10, 2015 at 7:53 pm in reply to: Integration with google calendar for multiple events #941533Barry
MemberHi Alejandro,
Thanks for getting in touch π
That’s a great question. We do ship with support for Google Calendar however quite what you’ve described – exporting multiple events to Google in one go – is not currently supported.
We are always on the look out for great ideas so if you wanted to propose this on our feature request channel we’d be all ears!
Thanks again.
February 10, 2015 at 7:51 pm in reply to: Problem with the permaliks of the recurring events #941530Barry
MemberHi Florian,
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having difficulties. I wonder if you could try two subtley different but similar troubleshooting processes here.
The first, which you may already have covered, is deactivating all plugins except The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO (please leave both activated). Please also switch to a default theme, such as Twenty Fourteen, and then flush permalinks – you can do this simply by visiting the Settings β Permalinks screen – you don’t actually need to adjust any of the settings.
Does that restore normal behaviour for the recurring event links?
If not, let’s move on to the second troubleshooting process before you reactivate any other components. Please create a new set of recurring events and see if those permalinks work as expected. If they do, this may indicate the conflict is caused by another plugin (or your theme) interfering at the point when the recurring events are actually generated.
Can you give those steps a go and see if they reveal anything?
If you’re unsure about anything I have described please just let me know π

MemberHi Annette,
Definitely possible π
Please review our Themer’s Guide in the first instance as it covers the basics of safely overriding and customizing our templates.
Normally in this situation I’d recommend setting up a custom single-event.php template and simply remove the following line:
<?php echo tribe_event_featured_image( $event_id, 'full', false ); ?>It may not be quite so simple in your case as, looking at the screenshot you shared, I suspect the theme you are using may have come complete with its own custom event templates (in which case you should seek assistance from the theme author).
Does that help?
Barry
MemberHi Suzanne,
Unfortunately the styling of some themes is, in a sense, so “strong” that it can carry over and influence things like our widgets.
What I’d recommend here is reviewing our Themer’s Guide which explains how to set up a custom events stylesheet (essentially, add a new file called tribe-events.css to directory named tribe-events within your theme — so you should end up with a file at wp-content/themes/your-theme/tribe-events/tribe-events.css).
Within that, try adding this code:
#theme-page .tribe-mini-calendar-event .list-info h2.entry-title.summary { font-size: 15px }(You could also try adding it to the custom CSS area of your theme, if it provides such a facility.)
Does that help?
