    Hi Priyanka,

No where in the documentation it was mentioned that we have to activate both plugins.

I’m sorry that wasn’t clear enough but actually this is detailed in one of the opening paragraphs of the New User Primer, which we link to from both the main product page and the thank you email you should have received after making the purchase.

Additionally, if you install and activate Events Calendar PRO and The Events Calendar is not yet installed, it will add a notice to the top of the plugin admin screen telling you that you need to install it.

With that in mind I feel we’ve made some pretty reasonable efforts on this count but we’re definitely open to your feedback if you’ve got further suggestions that would help us make this requirement even more obvious πŸ™‚

One of the main reason why we upgraded to Events calendar pro was to be able use filter bars.

So it sounds like you are interested in the advanced filtering offered by our Filter Bar plugin, which is indeed a pretty awesome tool.

This is a quite separate plugin, though, that you would need to purchase and install – as those capabilities are not added by Events Calendar PRO alone.

    I hope that clarifies things!

Awesome – fellow team member Gustavo is to credit for that snippet/plugin – and no problem, we’ll leave the topic open for the time being πŸ™‚

    Hi Pascal,

Your English is excellent, no problem there πŸ™‚

I saw this post this post where Annandaleefree explained that she β€œlost” highlighted events appear on [her] home page.

So it sounds like Annandaleefree was using some sort of custom theme facility for her stream of highlighted events and you could do something similar with our advanced events list widget and set it to show only events in a particular category.

By using the β€œexcellent” even rocket plugin (Barry’s made) I can promote events on my home page by using this kind of shortcode

This is indeed another way of doing it – glad you like the plugin πŸ™‚

I’ll go ahead and close this topic, but of course should any other issues crop up please don’t hesitate to post a fresh topic and one of the team will be only too happy to help.

    Thanks again!

Sorry to hear that – it can definitely be a pain when you have a very bespoke system if someone who has key knowledge about it disappears from the scene πŸ™

While I definitely sympathize, from our perspective that also makes it tricky to figure out what the problem might be since – as you can appreciate – highly custom setups are by definition unique and so we will not be familiar with them.

It sounds like you do have some developers at your disposal, though. Is it possible that they could duplicate your site and, within the safety of a testing environment, run through our standard troubleshooting steps? This might help to further narrow down the seat of the problem (which, conceivably, may be a conflict with some other component altogether).

Let me know if that’s possible and how you get on πŸ™‚

    Hi Wendy,

I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties.

Unfortunately our support for older web browsers tends to be limited and, if I’m not mistaken, the final release of Internet Explorer 9 was in 2011 which makes it a comparatively old technology at this point.

To confirm, do you find it is only Internet Explorer 9 (and perhaps even older editions of IE) that are impacted, or is it a wider problem than that?

    Hi designstudio,

    That’s an interesting scenario.

How about using tribe_events_product_is_ticket() to differentiate? If you pass in a product ID and it is a “ticket product” managed by our own ticketing plugins, it should return true.

Does that work for you here?

    Hi Joe,

Sorry to hear they didn’t work for you.

They are indeed still relevant and each seems to behave as expected when I test them. Can you confirm where you added the code in question?

Could you also provide a link to a live example of a single event page containing tickets, in case that provides any clues (unfortunately I found I was unable to use the URL provided when you opened this topic)?

    Thanks!

    Hi Kyle,

    Great question!

All of our widgets can be extensively customized by means of template overrides – giving complete control over what information is shown (or hidden).

In relation to he advanced list widget specifically (and perhaps this is what the documentation you read was referring to) it does allow you to toggle on and off display of the following fields without any need to modify code:

    • Venue
    • Organizer
    • Address
    • City
    • State/Province
    • Postal Code
    • Country
    • Phone
    • Price

In a sense, though, the real “power” that comes with PRO’s calendar and advanced list widgets are the filters – you can filter for one or more taxonomy terms (events categories as well as tags) and switch between matching against all applied terms or any – which adds a ton of flexibility.

I hope that answers your question but let me know if I can assist with anything else πŸ™‚

    Hi urbanexcursions,

I’m sorry to hear you are hitting up against difficulties.

I visited your site, located an event with tickets and successfully proceeded to checkout, but of course it seems you’ve customized things so that I would need a login and credits to actually buy.

I’m curious, how have you implemented this (credit system/log in to pay)? Is it a piece of custom work or the result of one or more addons in addition to WooCommerce and our own plugin?

Have you tested (on a development site) without that same setup in place, ie with just our plugin, WooCommerce and a default theme and does the same thing occur then?
