Events Calendar PRO widgets – excerpt display option?

I’m interested in the Events Calendar PRO widgets and what you can actually turn off and on as far as display.

The website shows an example screenshot, but then talks about how there is much more.

Can you give me a full list of what the Events Calendar PRO widgets can show?

Hi Kyle,

Great question!

All of our widgets can be extensively customized by means of template overrides – giving complete control over what information is shown (or hidden).

In relation to he advanced list widget specifically (and perhaps this is what the documentation you read was referring to) it does allow you to toggle on and off display of the following fields without any need to modify code:

• Venue
• Organizer
• Address
• City
• State/Province
• Postal Code
• Country
• Phone
• Price

In a sense, though, the real “power” that comes with PRO’s calendar and advanced list widgets are the filters – you can filter for one or more taxonomy terms (events categories as well as tags) and switch between matching against all applied terms or any – which adds a ton of flexibility.
